Richard 'Ricky' Skerritt (born 7 June 1956) [1] is a Saint Kitts and Nevis politician affiliated to the St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party. [2] He held several portfolios in the country's ministry from 2004 to 2015. [3] He has also been closely associated with cricket in the Caribbean and has acted as the manager of West Indies cricket team. [4] [5]
In March 2019,he was elected as the president of Cricket West Indies,along with his running mate,Dr. Kishore Shallow as vice president when they defeated the incumbents president Dave Cameron and vice president Emmanuel Nanthan by margins of 8–4 in a secret ballot. [6] [7] [8]
Skerritt was born on 7 June 1956 in Saint Kitts. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of the Virgin Islands and a master's degree from Oxford University. [9]
The West Indies men's cricket team,nicknamed The Windies,is a men's cricket team representing the West Indies the mainly English-speaking countries and territories in the Caribbean region and administered by Cricket West Indies. The players on this composite team are selected from a chain of fifteen Caribbean nation-states and territories. As of 26 November 2022,the West Indies cricket team is ranked eighth in Tests,and tenth in ODIs and seventh in T20Is in the official ICC rankings.
Cricket West Indies (CWI) is the governing body for cricket in the West Indies. It was originally formed in the early 1920s as the West Indies Cricket Board of Control,but changed its name to West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) in 1996. In November 2015,the Board resolved to rename itself as Cricket West Indies as part of a restructuring exercise that would also see the creation of a separate commercial body. This rebranding formally occurred in May 2017.
Shamarh Shaqad Joshua Brooks is a Barbadian international cricketer who plays international cricket for West Indies and plays domestic cricket for Barbados. Jonathan Lyndon Carter is a Barbadian cricketer who currently plays for Barbados. He is a big-hitting left-handed batsman who also bowls right-arm medium pace. He made his international debut for the West Indies in January 2015.
Shane Omari Dowrich is a former Barbadian international cricketer who plays as a wicket-keeper. He has featured for the West Indies,Barbados along with CPL teams St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Barbados Tridents in his cricketing career. Dowrich is also the current captain of the Barbados' first class side.
Brandon Alexander King is a Jamaican cricketer. He was part of the West Indies' squad for the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his international debut for the West Indies cricket team in November 2019.
Kesrick Omari Kenal Williams is a Vincentian cricketer who has played for several teams in West Indian domestic cricket. He made his first-class debut in 2011,for the Windward Islands,and later appeared for the Combined Campuses,but rose to prominence only in 2016,when he was the leading wicket-taker for the Jamaica Tallawahs in the 2016 Caribbean Premier League.

The 2018 Caribbean Premier League (CPLT20) or for sponsorship reasons,Hero CPL 2018 was the sixth season of the Caribbean Premier League,the domestic Twenty20 cricket league in the West Indies. Matches were played in seven countries –Trinidad and Tobago,Saint Kitts and Nevis,Guyana,Barbados,Jamaica,Saint Lucia,with three of the matches were played at Lauderhill,Florida,United States. The tournament started on 8 August 2018.
The 2019 Caribbean Premier League (CPLT20) or for sponsorship reasons,Hero CPL 2019 was the seventh season of the Caribbean Premier League,the domestic Twenty20 cricket league in the West Indies. Matches were played in six countries –Trinidad and Tobago,Saint Kitts and Nevis,Guyana,Barbados,Jamaica and Saint Lucia. Originally,the tournament was scheduled to start on 21 August 2019. However,this was pushed back to 4 September 2019,to avoid clashing with India's tour to the West Indies.
The West Indies cricket team toured England to play three Test matches. The team were originally scheduled to tour the country in May and June 2020. However,the series was initially postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cricket West Indies stated that they would do everything they can to help accommodate the fixtures,including moving the fixtures back or even hosting them in the West Indies. A revised tour schedule,with the first Test starting in July,was proposed at the end of May 2020. The fixtures were confirmed the following month,with the matches all played behind closed doors. The Test series formed part of the inaugural 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship.
Joshua Da Silva is a Trinidadian cricketer. He made his domestic debut in 2018 for Trinidad and Tobago,and his international debut for the West Indies cricket team in December 2020.
Colin Archibald is a Nevisian professional cricketer. He made his List A debut on 15 November 2019,for the Leeward Islands in the 2019–20 Regional Super50 tournament. He made his first-class debut on 9 January 2020,for the Leeward Islands in the 2019–20 West Indies Championship.
Dr. Kishore Shallow is a cricket administrator from St. Vincent and the Grenadines. He is currently the President of Cricket West Indies (CWI). Previously,he held positions as President of Windward Islands Cricket Board of Control,and President of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association. Dr. Shallow is also a director on the International Cricket Council,the world governing body for cricket.

The Tests formed part of the inaugural 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship,and the ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
The 2021 Caribbean Premier League (CPLT20) or for sponsorship reasons,Hero CPL 2021 was the ninth season of the Caribbean Premier League,the domestic Twenty20 cricket league that was played in the West Indies. The tournament was held from 26 August to 15 September 2021,with all the matches took placed in Saint Kitts and Nevis. A players' draft was held on 28 May 2021. On 14 July 2021,Cricket West Indies confirmed the fixtures for the tournament. The Trinbago Knight Riders were the defending champions.
The Australia cricket team toured the West Indies in June and July 2021 to play three One Day International (ODI) and five Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The ODI matches formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. The fixtures for the tour were confirmed by Cricket West Indies (CWI) in May 2021. The Australian cricket team arrived in the West Indies on 28 May 2021,after the majority players had been vaccinated for COVID-19.
The 2022 season of The 6ixty,also known as Sky Exch The 6ixty,for sponsorship reasons,was a T10 cricket tournament organized by Cricket West Indies (CWI) and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) which was played in St. Kitts and Nevis in its inaugural edition,which took place in August 2022 in the lead-up to the CPL. There were both a men's and women's edition of the tournament running at the same time,with the teams and their player rosters being mostly the same as in the CPL and Women's CPL. Several changes were made to the usual rules of T10 cricket in the competition.
