Robert Kennedy Lewis is a St Lucian politician affiliated with the Saint Lucia Labour Party. He was elected to the House of Assembly of Saint Lucia following the election of 11 December 2006 as the member of parliament for Castries South. [1] [2] Previous to his election Lewis was supervisor and examiner of National Examinations in Mathematics from 1992 to 2006. In January 2005 he received a Phd in mathematics from the University of Otago.

Lewis presented diplomatic credentials to Joseph Wu, foreign minister of the Republic of China on 20 April 2022, [3] and succeeded Edwin Laurent, who had served as St Lucian ambassador to the Republic of China since May 2018. [4] [5] Lewis presented his diplomatic credentials to president Tsai Ing-wen on 5 May 2022. [6]

George William Odlum was a Saint Lucian left-wing politician who served as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. Born in Castries, Odlum studied at Bristol University and Oxford University in the United Kingdom before returning to Saint Lucia as Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Trade. After working for the Commonwealth Secretariat and the West Indies Associated States, he formed the Saint Lucia Forum, a left-wing pressure group. This group merged with the Saint Lucia Labour Party in time for the 1974 elections; although the Party did not win, the progress they made allowed them to take power in 1979, with Odlum as Deputy Prime Minister.

Tsai Ing-wen is a Taiwanese politician who has served as the president of the Republic of China (Taiwan) since 2016. A member of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), Tsai is the first female president of Taiwan. Chen Chien-jenOS KSG KHS is a Taiwanese epidemiologist and politician who has served as the premier of the Republic of China (Taiwan) since 2023. He joined the Chen Shui-bian presidential administration in 2003 as leader of the Department of Health, serving through 2005. He later headed the National Science Council between 2006 and 2008. Chen then served as a vice president of Academia Sinica from 2011 to 2015. Later that year, Chen joined Tsai Ing-wen on the Democratic Progressive Party presidential ticket and served as Vice President of the Republic of China from 2016 to 2020. Chen joined the DPP in 2022 and was appointed premier in January 2023.

Presidential elections were held in Taiwan on 11 January 2020 along with the 10th Legislative Yuan election. Incumbent president Tsai Ing-wen and former premier William Lai of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) won the election, defeating Kaohsiung mayor Han Kuo-yu of the Kuomintang (KMT) and his running mate Chang San-cheng, as well as third-party candidate James Soong.
