Rock for the Rising Sun is a live DVD by American hard rock band Aerosmith. It was released on July 23, 2013. The video chronicles the band's 2011 tour of Japan in the wake of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck the country earlier that year. In between performances from various concerts the band performed there, the DVD includes documentary footage of the band as they travel the country and interact with fans.

The 2003 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup was held from 16 to 29 November 2003 in Japan. Twelve men's national teams played in cities all over Japan for the right to a fast lane ticket into the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece.

Sakanaction, stylised as sakanaction, are a Japanese rock band from Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. Their music is a fusion of alternative rock, electronic, pop, and new wave styles, and is thus difficult to classify under one category. The band consists of five members: Ichiro Yamaguchi, Motoharu Iwadera, Ami Kusakari, Emi Okazaki, and Keiichi Ejima.

A-Nation Annual summer concert series in Japan

A-Nation is the name of an annual series of summer concerts that are held in various cities in Japan. Organized by Avex Group, Japan's biggest independent record label, this series features the most successful artists signed onto Avex Trax or other labels of the group. A-Nation began in 2002 and is held each weekend during August of each year. Stay Gold is the sixth major-label Japanese studio album by South Korean pop-rock idol band CNBLUE. It was released on October 18, 2017, under Warner Music Japan. The album was released in four editions: Regular Edition, Limited Editions A and B, and a fan club-only Boice Limited Edition. It went on to debut at number three on Japan's national weekly Oricon Albums Chart. The band will embark on the CNBLUE 2017 Arena Tour Live "Starting Over" from November to December in Osaka, Tokyo, Fukui, Fukuoka, Aichi, and Kanagawa.
