Since February 9, 2020, the Archdiocese is currently led by Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo as apostolic administrator. In March 25, 2021, Capiz Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula was named by Pope Francis as Archbishop-designate of Manila, replacing Luis Antonio Tagle, who vacated the post to serve as Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples.
