Rupert Edward Pearce (born 25 March 1964) [1] is a British lawyer and business executive. He is the former chief executive of the green energy company Highview Power and, prior to that, of the satellite communication company Inmarsat. [1] [2] [3] [4]
He was previously a lawyer with Linklaters [3] [5] [6] and currently holds the role of National Armaments Director within the UK Ministry of Defence. [7]
At the time of his appointment, the advertised salary range for the National Armaments Director role in the UK Ministry of Defence was between £290,000 and £400,000 per annum, with an annual performance related bonus of up to 60% of base salary, meaning the total remuneration package could be as high as £640,000. [8]
Pearce was educated at Malvern College and earned an MA in Modern History from Oxford University and graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC, on a Fulbright scholarship. [1] [9]
