The Saguache Downtown Historic District, a historic district in Saguache, Colorado, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014. [1] The listing included 32 contributing buildings and four contributing structures. [2]

It was deemed significant "for its historic role as the commercial center of the Town of Saguache and the upper San Luis Valley since its founding in 1874. The district is further locally significant [for its] intact collection of one- and two-story late nineteenth- and early twentieth century commercial buildings, including an impressive number of buildings featuring false front and adobe construction." [2]

Silver City Historic District (New Mexico) United States historic place

The Silver City Historic District is a historically significant section of downtown Silver City, New Mexico, United States. Within its boundaries of Black, College, Hudson, and Spring Streets are located thirty-eight contributing properties, spread out over an area of 88 acres (36 ha). The properties include some of Silver City's most significant commercial, government, religious, and residential buildings. The commercial area is mainly located along Broadway and Bullard Street; most of the commercial buildings are two-story brick structures, and many feature cast iron storefronts. The Grant County Courthouse, which was designed and built in 1930, is located at the end of Broadway. The houses in the district are also mainly brick, a locally abundant building material; they represent a variety of architectural styles, including a number of Second Empire works. Five churches are included in the district; these include Gothic Revival and Mission Revival designs.

Marshalltown Downtown Historic District United States historic place

The Marshalltown Downtown Historic District is a historic district located in Marshalltown, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. At the time of its nomination it contained 96 resources, which included 79 contributing buildings, one contributing site, and 16 non-contributing buildings. The historic district covers most of the city's central business district. All of it is within the original town of Marshalltown, which was laid out and recorded on August 15, 1853, as the village of Marshall. Confusion with a town with the same name in Henry County led this village to be renamed Marshalltown in 1862. It was incorporated the following year.

Downtown Rawlins Historic District United States historic place

The Downtown Rawlins Historic District comprises the historic center of Rawlins, Wyoming. It comprises the area between Second and Sixth Streets and Front to Buffalo Streets and along 5th Street between West Spruce and West Cedar. The town owes much of its living to the Union Pacific Railway, which took advantage of spring in the Rawlins area to establish services there.

The Red Oak Downtown Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Red Oak, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016. At the time of its nomination it contained 104 resources, which included 73 contributing buildings, eight contributing objects, one contributing site, 15 non-contributing buildings, six non-contributing objects, and one non-contributing structure. The historic district covers most of the city's central business district. It is a flat area of land in an otherwise hilly region. The district is centered on Fountain Square, a public green space around which the town had been platted in 1857. A second public square was added in 1890 for the Montgomery County Courthouse after Red Oak won a special election to move the county seat from Frankfort.

The Calera Downtown Historic District, in Calera, Alabama, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. The listing included 25 contributing buildings on 22 acres (8.9 ha).

Lisbon Main Street Historic District United States historic place

The Lisbon Main Street Historic District is a nationally recognized historic district located in Lisbon, Iowa, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019. At the time of its nomination it consisted of 15 contributing buildings along most of the 100 blocks of East and West Main Street in the central business district. The city was settled by German immigrants who were affiliated with the United Brethren Church. They recruited others from their home area to settle here as well. The railroad was built through town in 1859, and commercial development began thereafter. Most of the historic buildings were constructed between 1875 and 1899 with the Lisbon Library being the oldest.
