Saiteja Reddy Mukkamalla (born April 9, 2004) is an American cricketer, who primarily plays as an opening batsman for United States national cricket team. [1] [2] He also bowls right arm off-break occasionally. [3]
In May 2022, he was selected to play in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 Series. [4] He made his ODI debut against Scotland at Pearland on May 28, 2022. [5] He scored 14 runs off 12 balls in his first match. [6] In May 2023, he was selected in USA's squad for the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier played in Zimbabwe. [7] During the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier, his unbeaten ton propelled USA to an impressive win over UAE in the play-off. He smashed 12 fours to play a match-winning unbeaten knock of 120 runs off just 114 balls. [8] [9] [10] He was declared Man of the Match for this effort. Major League Cricket (MLC) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league in the United States. Operated by American Cricket Enterprises (ACE) and sanctioned by USA Cricket, it began play on July 13, 2023, with six teams representing major US cities under a single-entity model. The first season took place over three weeks at Grand Prairie Stadium in Grand Prairie, Texas, and Church Street Park in Morrisville, North Carolina, concluding on July 30, 2023.
