The City of Idaho Springs is the Statutory City that is the most populous municipality in Clear Creek County, Colorado, United States. Idaho Springs is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 1,717. Idaho Springs is located in Clear Creek Canyon, in the mountains upstream from Golden, some 30 miles (50 km) west of Denver.

The City of Louisville is a home rule municipality located in southeastern Boulder County, Colorado, United States. The city population was 21,226 at the 2020 United States Census. Louisville began as a rough mining community in 1877, suffered through a period of extraordinary labor violence early in the 20th century, and then, when the mines closed in the 1950s, made a transition to a suburban residential community. CNN/Money and Money magazine have consistently listed Louisville as one of the 100 best places to live in the United States, ranking it among the top 100 in 2007, 2009 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017.

The listing included 55 contributing buildings and 12 non-contributing ones.
The South School is a historic school building in Stoneham, Massachusetts. It is the best preserved 19th century schoolhouse in Stoneham. The two-story wood-frame building housed two classrooms on each of its two floors, and was built c. 1857–58, at a time when many schoolhouses in the state were typically single story buildings with one or two classrooms. The building saw academic use well into the 20th century before being converted to other uses. It has retained its basic form, as well exterior Italianate features.

The church's main building was originally the building of the St. John's Episcopal Chapel, which was built in Aspen, Colorado in 1886. Salina is a former mining town in Boulder County, Colorado, United States approximately 7 miles (11 km) west of Boulder. Established in 1874, after Colorado's first gold discovery in 1859, Salina was founded by miners who migrated to Boulder from Salina, Kansas. It is located at the junction of Four Mile Canyon and Gold Run roads. The mining camp was originally accessible only by horseback or wagons pulled by mules but later became part of Colorado's Switzerland Trail when the Greeley, Salt Lake, & Pacific narrow gauge railroad was built in the early 1880s. Today, most of Salina's original structures still stand, including the one-room schoolhouse, Salina School, and church, the Little Church in the Pines, despite some impact from the Fourmile Canyon wildfire in 2010 and historic flooding during the 2013 Colorado floods.
The Frisco Schoolhouse, now a local museum registered on the National Register of Historic Places, is an original one-room schoolhouse located in the Frisco Historic Park in Frisco, Colorado. The schoolhouse is located on its original location. The building was first built as a saloon in the 1890s and later (c.1902) converted to a school, which now contains original blackboards and school desks. The museum also contains information about Ute people, Dillon Reservoir, mining, late 1800s clothing, and photographs.

The Little Church in the Pines is a c. 1902-1908 building in the former mining town of Salina in Boulder County, Colorado. The church held regular Sunday School classes for children, and services whenever a traveling minister came to town. As the mining boom came to an end and the town's population shrunk, the building fell into disuse, and briefly served as a mine office before being abandoned. In 1948 it was purchased by a neighborhood group and has been used ever since for nondenominational worship and community events. The Little Church in the Pines was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
The Liberty Schoolhouse, also known as the Mt. Grove School, is a historic schoolhouse in a remote part of Ozark-St. Francis National Forest in Logan County, Arkansas. It is east of Corley, Arkansas, near the junction of Valentine Spring and Copper Spring Roads. It is a single-story vernacular wood-frame structure, with a gabled roof, weatherboard siding, and a foundation of concrete block piers. It was built in 1897, and was used by the community as both a school and church. It served as a school until 1944, and also hosted civic meetings and social events.
