Satish Laxmanrao Jarkiholi (born 1 June 1962) is an Indian politician from Belgavi from Indian National Congress. He is currently serving as the Minister of Public Works Department in Government of Karnataka and is also a Member of Karnataka Legislative Assembly representing Yemakanmardi constituency since 2008.
He was the forest and environment minister in the H. D. Kumarswamy cabinet from 22 December 2018 to 23 July 2019. He is a former minister of Small scale Industries and also was a Minister of Excise in the Siddaramaiah cabinet.
Satish Jarkiholi was born in a prominent sugarcane-growing family in Belagavi district. His brothers Ramesh Jarkiholi and Balachandra Jarkiholi are both politicians and represent Gokak and Arabhavi legislative constituencies respectively. His daughter Priyanka Jarkiholi is nominated by the Indian National Congress party to contest from the Chikkodi Parliamentary Constituency in 2024 Indian General Election in Karnataka. [6]
He unsuccessfully contested the 2021 by poll from Belagavi Lok sabha seat,vacated after the demise of incumbent MP Suresh Angadi,former Minister of State for Railways. [7] He was defeated by Mangala Suresh Angadi (wife of Suresh Angadi) with a margin of 5,240 votes. Mangala Suresh Angadi was the first politician to defeat Satish Jarkiholi,in his political life spanning about 30 years. [8] [9]
Siddaramaiah,also referred to by his nickname Siddu,is an Indian politician who is serving as the 22nd Chief Minister of Karnataka since 2023. He also held that position previously from 2013 to 2018,being only the second person to hold that office for a full five-year term. He belongs to the Indian National Congress and is presently the leader of the Congress Legislative Party. He represented the Varuna Assembly constituency from 2023,previously from 2008 to 2018,Badami Assembly constituency from 2018 to 2023,and from Chamundeshwari Assembly constituency from 2004 to 2007,1994 to 1999 and from 1983 to 1989 in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He served as the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka from 1996 to 1999 and from 2004 to 2005 while he was a member of the Janata Dal and Janata Dal (Secular). He also served as the Leader of the Opposition in Karnataka Legislative Assembly on two occasions from 2019 to 2023 and from 2009 to 2013. Siddaramaiah was a member of various Janata Parivar factions for several years.
Suresh Channabasappa Angadi was an Indian politician who served as the Union Minister of State for Railways of India from 30 May 2019 to 23 September 2020. He was Member of Parliament,Lok Sabha from 2004 to September 2020. He was a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party from Karnataka.

He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Earlier in 2023 he had joined the Indian National Congress,where he quit the BJP on being denied the MLA ticket in 2023. He represented Hubli-Dharwad Central Vidhan Sabha seat,which he resigned in 2023 before the elections. In March 2024,he was announced as the BJP candidate from the Belgaum Constituency for the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
Ballari Sreeramulu is an Indian politician who served as Minister of Transport Department and Tribal Welfare of Karnataka from 4 August 2021 till 13 May 2023. He was the Minister of Social Welfare Department of Karnataka from 12 October 2020 to 26 July 2021. He was member of Karnataka Legislative Assembly from Bellary Rural Molakalmuru Constituency in Chitradurga district. He is the Social Welfare minister in the Government of Karnataka. He served as a Health and Family welfare minister previously from also as a Minister of Backward class welfare from September 2019 to October 2020. In March 2024,he was announced as the BJP candidate from the same constituency in the 2024 General Elections.
