The Ponys were an American indie rock/garage rock band from Chicago, Illinois, United States, formed by singer/guitarist Jered Gummere, in early 2001. Gummere was concurrently in the punk band, Guilty Pleasures, at the time of The Ponys’ formation. He eventually left to devote himself entirely to The Ponys. Gummere recruited members of the band, his first choice being girlfriend Melissa Elias whom he met while she was attending Illinois State University in his hometown. Together they experimented with indie/post-punk styles.
The Lovemakers is an electropop/new wave band from Oakland, California. The band was formed in the spring of 2002 by Scott Blonde and Lisa Light who are the two core members. Light and Blonde met in 2002 via Blonde's manager, who Light was dating at the time. Shortly afterward Light left her boyfriend, and she began dating Blonde and joined his band Applesaucer. They were forced out of the band, reportedly for making out during practice. Afterward they formed their own band naming themselves The Lovemakers after the Japanese sexploitation film The Weird Lovemakers. They joined with Jason Proctor on keyboards to form the initial lineup.
Eleanor Friedberger is an American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She is best known as one half of the indie rock duo The Fiery Furnaces, alongside her older brother Matthew Friedberger. In the band she contributes the majority of the vocals both on record and during their live performances.

Pebbles is an extensive series of compilation albums in both LP and CD formats that have been issued on several record labels, though mostly by AIP. Together with the companion Highs in the Mid-Sixties series, the Pebbles series made available over 800 obscure, mostly American "Original Punk Rock" songs recorded in the mid-1960s — primarily known today as the garage rock and psychedelic rock genres — that were previously known only to a handful of collectors. In 2007, the release of the Pebbles, Volume 11: Northern California CD marked the final album in the Pebbles series. The following year, Bomp! marked the 30th anniversary of the original Pebbles album with a spartan, limited-edition, clear-vinyl reissue complete with the original pink cover insert.

Fighting Jacks are a melodic rock band from San Jose, California. The band formed in the fall of 2000 after their former bands broke up that past summer. The original lineup was Casey Linstrum, Cory Linstrum, Michael Hoppe (drums), and Mike Wright. This lineup created the base of the Fighting Jacks sound, taking the influences of their former bands and creating a sound that was both aggressive and indie, while also staying catchy and easily accessible. The band has released The Inside Trade Agreement EP and the Split EP with bands Sloe and Keeping Ellis in 2001. They were signed by Tooth & Nail Records and released their first full-length LP The Dying Art of Life in 2003. The band released a S/T EP in 2005 and started writing what would be their second full-length album, but then they went on hiatus from 2007-2014. At the end of 2014 the band reformed and started to finish recording their new album Decade, which was self-released digitally on 7/21/2017. The band is currently playing shows in their home town of San Jose and around the San Francisco Bay Area.

The group is known for being leading artists in the San Francisco Bay Area underground pop punk scene and breaking onto the national scene during the early 2000s. To date, the band has released two full-length albums, three EPs, and toured the U.S. on eight separate occasions. In 2015, the group was recognized by itcher magazine (UK) as one of the top five underrated pop punk bands from the U.S.
