Scott Denny Hann, MBE (born 26 June 1980) is an English gymnastics coach, currently serving as the Director of Coaching for the South Essex Gymnastics Club in Basildon, Essex. [1] Most notably, he has coached 2012 Olympian, 2016 double Olympic Champion, and World Champion Max Whitlock, and World Medalist and Olympic team member Brinn Bevan, [2] Jamaican team member Reiss Beckford and 2016 Olympic Bronze medallist Amy Tinkler.

Hann was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2017 Birthday Honours for services to gymnastics. [3]

Personal life

Once a gymnast coached by Vic Kevlishvili, who now is the owner and head coach at Phoenix Gymnastics Centre. He attended Burnt Mill Academy (then Burnt Mill School) from 1991 to 1996, then moving onto Harlow College. [4] He lives in Basildon, Essex [5] with his wife Jamie-leigh (married on 9 July 2010) and two children. [6]

Béla Károlyi is an ethnic Hungarian Romanian-American gymnastics coach. Early in his coaching career he developed the Romanian centralised training system for gymnastics. Living under the dictatorship of Nicolae Ceausescu, Károlyi frequently clashed with Romanian officials. He and his wife defected to the United States in 1981.

Max Antony Whitlock is a British artistic gymnast. He is a six-time Olympic medalist, winning three golds and three bronzes, and a five time world medalist on the pommel horse with three gold and two silvers. He became Britain's first ever Olympic gold medalist in artistic gymnastics when he won both the men's floor and pommel horse exercises at the 2016 Summer Olympics. With fourteen medals and six titles in Olympic and world championships, Whitlock is the most successful gymnast in his nation's history, and the most successful pommel horse worker in gymnastics history; he has 8 global medals in the apparatus, including 5 global gold medals.

Daniel Scott Purvis is a Scottish former international elite artistic gymnast, and three-time British all-around champion in men's artistic gymnastics. He trained at Southport YMCA and was coached by Jeff Brookes and Andrei Popov. He was part of the first British men's team to win a medal at a World Championships in 2015.

Nile Michael Wilson is a former British artistic gymnast. Laurent Landi is a French-American artistic gymnastics coach and retired gymnast.
