It was written by Jay Sean himself and Alan Sampson, and produced by the latter. It was released on 21 January 2008. The song reached the top 20 in the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number 11. The single was also very successful and one of the most played songs in Eastern Europe, particularly in Russia, Bulgaria and Romania, where it became one of the top three best-selling singles of the year. A Hindi version of the song was also included in the Indian release of the album My Own Way.

The song samples the 1956 Italian song "Tu Vuò Fà L'Americano" in the Neapolitan language by Renato Carosone, written by Carosone and Nicola Salerno. "We No Speak Americano" became a hit in Europe, Australia, and South America as well as a top 40 hit in the U.S. and Canada. It also won the 2010 ARIA award for "Best Dance Release." The song had sold over 1 million digital copies in the United States as of 10 April 2011.

"Ferrari Horses" is a song by British hip hop collective D-Block Europe featuring British singer Raye. It was released as a single in 2021 from D-Block Europe's 2020 album The Blue Print: Us vs. Them, reaching number 14 on the UK Singles Chart and being certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). In 2023, it was remixed by British DJ and producer Cassö and retitled "Prada", which charted higher in the UK and internationally.

"Escapism" is a song by British singer and songwriter Raye featuring American rapper 070 Shake. It was released independently on 12 October 2022 as the third single from her debut album My 21st Century Blues (2023) as a double A-side with "The Thrill Is Gone". It was co-written by Raye, 070 Shake and Mike Sabath, with Sabath handling production. "Escapism" is an uptempo R&B, electropop and hip hop song with lyrics speaking of escaping from reality and dealing with heartbreak.
