Yongsan Garrison, meaning "dragon hill garrison", is an area located in the Yongsan District of central Seoul, South Korea. The site served as the headquarters for U.S. military forces stationed in South Korea, known as United States Forces Korea (USFK), and as United States Army Garrison Yongsan (USAG-Yongsan) until 2018, under the supervision of the U.S. Army's Installation Management Command Pacific Region. From 1910 to 1945 it served as headquarters for the Imperial Japanese Army in Korea.
The Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS) are a network of schools, both primary and secondary, that serve the dependents of United States military and civilian United States Department of Defense (DoD) personnel in three areas of the world; Europe, Pacific, and Eastern United States and Caribbean areas. United States Contractor personnel supporting the Department of Defense overseas are eligible to send their dependents for a fee. The schools themselves are operated by the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA). This school system is the tenth-largest American school system.

Camp Humphreys is home to Desiderio Army Airfield, the busiest U.S. Army airfield in Asia, with an 8,124 feet (2,476 m) runway. In addition to the airfield, there are several U.S. Army direct support, transportation, and tactical units located there, including the Combat Aviation Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division. The garrison has an area of 3,454 acres (1,398 ha) and cost US$11 billion. Camp Humphreys is the largest U.S. overseas military base, housing some 500 buildings and amenities.

Heidelberg Middle School was located on Patrick Henry Village. It had 650 students in grades 6-8. Camp Kim is a military facility located adjacent to Yongsan Garrison in Seoul, South Korea. Camp Kim is home to a USO facility, an Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) distribution and storage facility, an AAFES vehicle repair facility, the Special Operations Command Korea, and the Yongsan Garrison office for vehicle registration and decals.

W.T. Sampson Elementary/High School is a K-12 school in Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, Cuba. In 2010 the school had 212 students in two campuses that are 2 miles (3.2 km) apart. As of 2021, all students (K-12) are on the newly constructed campus.
Alconbury High School is a public high school located in Alconbury, England, operated by the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA). It is a U.S. publicly funded school, and all schools within DoDEA are fully accredited by U.S. accreditation agencies. It is not funded by the U.K. state, and is not open to U.K. nationals. It mainly serves families of USAF personnel based at RAF Alconbury and RAF Molesworth. It is one of three DoDEA school communities that still exist for families stationed in the U.K.. The other two are located at RAF Lakenheath and RAF Croughton, and all three of these communities are districted as part of the West District of DoDEA Europe. There used to be other American schools in England to support families and their students, but some have closed down, and those students are bussed to nearby school communities. For example, London Central Elementary High School, which officially closed in 2007, had its students transferred to Alconbury Middle High School in the following school year (2007-2008).
The U.S. Army Garrison Camp Long is located near Wonju, South Korea. This camp was named in honor of Sergeant Charles R. Long of the U.S. Army, who received the Medal of Honor for his actions nearby in 1951 during the Korean War. Sergeant Long was acting as a forward observer in Company M of the 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division when he was killed in action.
