Seven Witches is an American heavy metal band from New Jersey, [1] founded in 1998 by Jack Frost and Bobby Lucas.
Seven Witches released a demo-CD in 1998, which resulted in them signing a record deal with Massacre Records. The first two CDs for Massacre, Second War in Heaven and City of Lost Souls, featured vocalist Bobby Lucas. Lucas was the one who named the band and wrote the lyrics with Frost. Lucas left the band in 2000 and was replaced with former Crimson Glory singer Wade Black. With Black on vocals, the band recorded their third studio album Xiled to Infinity and One . [2] [3]
Black left the band in 2002 and was replaced with James Rivera (Helstar). Bass guitar player Billy Mez also left the band in 2002, continuing on with Single Bullet Theory, and was replaced by Joey Vera who has played in Anthrax and Armored Saint. Rivera recorded two albums with the band, Passage to the Other Side and Year of the Witch . [4] He left the band in 2005 to continue with his main project, Helstar. In June 2005, singer Alan Tecchio (best known for his work with the band Hades) joined the band and they recorded their sixth studio album, Amped . [5] Tecchio joined the band after singing on "Hell or High Water", a song for Jack Frost solo project. Frost, satisfied with Tecchio's vocals, asked him to join the band. Shortly after that, Kevin Bolembach also joined as Seven Witches' new bass player. Bolembach and Tecchio had played together in Non-Fiction from 1991 to 1996.
Seven Witches released Deadly Sins in 2007. [6] Former bass player Vera mixed the album. Subsequently, they reunited with vocalist Rivera for a tour and a new album titled Call Upon The Wicked which was released on June 28, 2011. [7]
Runemagick is a Swedish death/doom band formed in 1990. The band was started by Nicklas "Terror" Rudolfsson under the name Desiderius, which was quickly changed to Runemagic. First, the band consisted solely of Rudolfsson, but he was later joined by Robert "Reaper" Pehrsson. They started out as a pure death metal band but later incorporated doom metal influences, inspired by the likes of Bathory, Treblinka/Tiamat, Celtic Frost, Nihilist/Entombed, and Candlemass.
Watchtower is an American progressive metal band based in Austin, Texas, active from 1982 to 1993 and they have reunited occasionally since 1999. The band has released two studio albums―Energetic Disassembly (1985) and Control and Resistance (1989)―as well as one compilation album, four digital singles, one EP and three demo cassettes, and has been featured on numerous compilation albums. They are also notable for featuring vocalist Jason McMaster, who left Watchtower after the release of Energetic Disassembly to form Dangerous Toys, and was replaced by Alan Tecchio, who appeared on Control and Resistance and the band's 2016 EP Concepts of Math: Book One. After leaving the band once again in 2010, McMaster returned to Watchtower for the second time in 2023.
Helstar is an American heavy metal band formed in Houston, Texas, in 1982 by guitarist Larry Barragan. They were an influential force in the American power metal genre emerging in the mid-1980s.

Alf Peter Tägtgren is a Swedish musician and record producer. He is the founder, main songwriter, lead vocalist, and guitarist of death metal band Hypocrisy as well as the industrial metal band Pain in which he is the only member. He is also the owner of The Abyss recording studio and the co-founder of Lindemann, a music project between Tägtgren and Rammstein vocalist Till Lindemann. Tägtgren left Lindemann in 2020.
Passage to the Other Side is the 4th studio album by Seven Witches; it's the first album with James Rivera singing, and the album also features bassist Joey Vera from Armored Saint. Many fans consider this release to be the best of them all. The album features a cover of Def Leppard's song "Wasted" from their debut album, On Through the Night.
Xiled to Infinity and One is an album released in 2002 by the American heavy metal band Seven Witches.
U.P.O. was an American rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1997. The band's line-up originally included Shawn Albro, Chris Weber (guitar), Ben Shirley (bass) and Tommy Holt (drums). Shirley and Holt left and were replaced by Zoltan Bathory and Philippe Mathys shortly before the band's breakup in 2004.
Nosferatu is the fourth album by American heavy metal band Helstar, released by Metal Blade Records in November 1989. The first half of the album follows a storyline based on the Bram Stoker novel Dracula and includes audio samples of Frank Langella's performance in John Badham's film adaptation of Dracula. It was the last album recorded by the band before going on hiatus, until reforming in 1995.
John Dempsey, known professionally as Jack Frost, is an American guitarist. He is one of the founders of the heavy metal band Seven Witches and also a part of The Bronx Casket Company. Frost is also known for playing guitar on Savatage's tour in support of Poets and Madmen in 2001 and 2002 before being dismissed from the band for unspecified reasons. He also toured in Anthrax vocalist Joey Belladonna's backing band, and played in a cover band called Diesel which featured Taz Marazz of Seven Witches, Mike Lepond of Symphony X on bass, and Jim Pepe on lead vocals.
James Rivera is an American singer, best known as the frontman for the heavy metal band Helstar. He was also the singer for Seven Witches between 2002 and 2005.
Burning Star is the debut album by American heavy metal band Helstar, released by Combat Records in March 1984. Recorded at Sunrise Studios in the band's hometown of Houston, the original cover features a grim reaper-type of figure in a red robe holding a fireball and scythe. European and subsequent re-releases of the album feature a different cover with a spacecraft exploding.

The sound of the album was a gradual progression from the traditional heavy metal style of the band's debut album, Burning Star towards the power-thrash sound that the band forged throughout the 1980s.

The band has released two EP's, five full-length studio albums, and one compilation album to date. The band released its fifth full-length studio album Divine Ways of Chaos on October 19, 2018.
