Shelley Calene-Black is an American voice actress who has provided voices for a number of English language versions of Japanese anime films and television series. Some of her leading voice roles include Mireille in Noir , Kyou Fujibayashi in Clannad , Rutile in Land of the Lustrous , Medaka Kurokami in Medaka Box , Hamyuts Meseta in The Book of Bantorra and Hime in Princess Resurrection . In live action films, she played the lead role of Maria Patterson in the Mariusz Kotowski-directed Holocaust film Esther's Diary .

Biography

Calene-Black was born and raised in Texas. She studied theatre at the University of Houston and worked on stage in New York City. After returning to Houston, she worked on local theatre groups such as the Alley Theatre and Stages Repertory Theatre. [1]

Hakumei and Mikochi is a Japanese manga series by Takuto Kashiki. It has been serialized since 2011 in Enterbrain's seinen manga magazine Fellows!, which was renamed to Harta in 2013. It has been collected in eleven tankōbon volumes. A 12-episode anime television series adaptation by Lerche aired from January 12 to March 30, 2018. An original video animation was included on the second Blu-ray/DVD volume released on June 27, 2018. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime.

Vermeil in Gold: The Failing Student and the Strongest Scourge Plunge Into the World of Magic is a Japanese manga series written by Kōta Amana and illustrated by Yōko Umezu about a young magician who accidentally makes a contract with a legendary and powerful female demon, eventually becoming her master and lover and the trials and challenges they face so that they can live in peace together. It has been serialized in Square Enix's shōnen manga magazine Monthly Shōnen Gangan since August 2018, with its chapters collected into seven tankōbon volumes as of April 2023. An anime television series adaptation produced by Staple Entertainment aired from July to September 2022.
