It originated in 2000 as a spin-off of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, before coming the national selection for the now-extinct MGP Nordic in 2002 and from 2006 to 2009. From 2003 to 2005, MGP Junior was Denmark's national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, a pan-European version of the format. The songs are performed primarily in Danish and written by the participants themselves. Many past contestants have gone on to be renowned recording artists, such as 2002's Morten Fillipsen, 2003's Anne Gadegaard, and 2014's Emma Pi Hedeboe.
Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen is a Danish actor. He has played Copenhagen mayoral election candidate Troels Hartmann in the drama series The Killing, Charles Augustus Magnussen in the third series of Sherlock, the Russian president Viktor Petrov in the American House of Cards on Netflix, and Grand Admiral Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels and Ahsoka. In 2011, he won the Reumert Prize of Honour.

Olaf Heine Johannessen, is a highly acclaimed Faroese actor known for his versatile acting skills and remarkable performances. Born on July 8, 1961, in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, Olaf grew up in a family of actors with both his father, Eyðun Johannessen, and mother, Tove Johannessen born Jacobsen, being prominent figures in the Faroese theater scene. He studied at the Danish National School of Theatre in Odense and began his acting career in Aarhus Theatre. He later became a member of the ensemble at the Royal Danish Theatre. He has played a variety of roles, including the lead roles in "Hamlet", "Faust", “Mephisto” and “Puntila” among others.
The Robert Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role is one of the merit awards presented by the Danish Film Academy at the annual Robert Awards ceremony. The award has been handed out since 1984.
The Alternative is a green political party in Denmark. The party was publicly launched on 27 November 2013 by former Minister of Culture Uffe Elbæk and Josephine Fock; Elbæk had been a parliamentarian for the Social Liberal Party. Elbæk was the leader of the party until February 2020, where he stepped down and was succeeded by Fock. Currently the party is led by Franciska Rosenkilde. It collaborates with DiEM25 at the European level.
The Reumert Award is an annual Danish awards ceremony to recognize excellence in theatre achievements in Denmark. The award was founded by the Bikuben Foundation in 1998, and has been handed annually since then. There are 16 award categories as well as 10 talent awards. A jury of ten specialists in theatre selects the recipients, who receive a statuette and a prize. As of 2016, the recipients also receive an amount of money. The recipients of the Reumert Award of Honour receive DKK 200,000, the recipients of the Talent Prize receive DKK 35,000 and all other categories-recipients receive DKK 40,000. The Reumert prize is named after the Danish actor Poul Reumert (1883–1968).
Maria Lucia Heiberg Rosenberg is a Danish singer and musical-performer. She became famous when she won a record contract with the label EMI in the TV 2-program Popstars in 2003. Her debut single "Taking Back My Heart" (2004) was no. 1 on hitlisten. The album That's Just Me sold 22.0000 copies.
Morten Kirkskov is a Danish actor, theatre director and writer. He was appointed artistic director of the Royal Danish Playhouse for the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen in 2015.
Claes Kasper Bang is a Danish actor and musician. He is best known for playing the leading role of Christian in Ruben Östlund's 2017 film The Square, which won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, and for the role of Fjölnir in Robert Eggers's 2022 film The Northman. In 2019, he played the role of Sasha Mann for the final season of The Affair, and he rose to further international recognition by starring as Count Dracula in the BBC/Netflix series Dracula (2020). For his role in The Square, he became the first Dane to win the European Film Award for Best Actor. Bang has also developed a music career under the moniker of This Is Not America.
X Factor is a Danish television music competition showcasing new singing talent. Like the end of season 13, season 14 continued live shows without audiences due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Solveig Lindelof won the season and Oh Land became the winning mentor for the first time and Solveig Lindelof became the first winner in the Danish X Factor history to appear in the bottom two.
Christian Lollike is a Danish playwright, theater director and artistic director of Sort/Hvid in Copenhagen. Lollike is working with stage and installation art in theaters, public areas and virtual platforms. He has made theater, film, musicvideo, opera, dance and art interventions. He often uses current political events in his work.
Cecilie Maria Stenspil is a Danish actress. She graduated from the School of Acting at Odense Teater in 2006.
Lars Boje Mathiesen is a Danish politician who, since March 2023, has been an independent member of the Danish Parliament, the Folketing. From February until March 2023, he succeeded Pernille Vermund as leader of the Nye Borgerlige political party, for which he was elected a member of the Folketing at the 2019 general election and again at the 2022 general election. However, he was dismissed and expelled from the party only the following month after disputes over remuneration and campaign finances.
Kaspar Munk is a Danish film director, writer and producer, best known as the director of HBO series Kamikaze and Danish Netflix series The Rain. Munk is the recipient of five Robert Awards, which is the Danish equivalent of the Academy Awards.
