Simonas Bilis (born 11 November 1993) is a Lithuanian swimmer. He is the current national record holder in the 50-meter, 100-meter freestyle (long course) and 50-meter, 100-meter freestyle (short course).

Contents

Bilis represented Lithuania at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships where he finished 20th in 50m freestyle. In 2016, he broke national record with 48.64 in men's 100m freestyle and qualified for 2016 Olympics. [1] He finished 8th place in the 50 meter Freestyle at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics.

In November 2022 Bilis announced about his retirement from sport. [2]

International Swimming League

In the Autumn of 2019 he was member of the inaugural International Swimming League swimming for the Energy Standard Swim Club, who won the team title in Las Vegas, Nevada, in December. [3] Since 2019 he has trained with the club full-time.

Danas Rapšys is a Lithuanian swimmer. Benjamin Proud is an English competitive swimmer, representing Great Britain at the Olympic Games, the FINA World Aquatics Championships and LEN European Aquatics Championships, and England at the Commonwealth Games. Proud specialises in sprint freestyle and butterfly races, specifically the 50-metre distance in both. He is the 2022 World Champion in the 50 metre freestyle, his second long course world title. Giedrius Andriunaitis is a Lithuanian swimmer who specialized in sprint freestyle events. He is a multiple Lithuanian champion, who represented his country at 2009 European Junior Swimming Championships, in Prague. Andriunaitis also participated at LEN European Championships in 2010, and 2011 Summer Universiade, and other international competitions over the world. Andriunaitis was a member of the swimming team for SMU Mustangs at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Andriunaitis was a significant contributor to the mustangs in winning Conference USA titles.

Justin Ress is an American swimmer. As a member of the USA national team Justin won the gold medal in the 50 meter backstroke at the 2022 FINA World Championships and was a member of the USA gold medal winning 4X100 free relay. He was also a key part of the USA team that defeated Australia in the resumption of the Duel in the Pool series in 2022. Ress competed as a member of the Cali Condors of the International Swimming League from 2019-2021 and looks forward to resumption of ISL in the near future. Ress was US national champion in the 100 backstroke in 2022 and 50 backstroke in 2017 after which he competed in the men's 50 meter backstroke event at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships. Ress swam collegiately for North Carolina State University where he was a 3-time NCAA champion, 21-time NCAA All-American, and 11-time ACC champion. In his first year at school he won the 2016 ACC Freshman of the Year award.

Todd DeSorbo has been the head coach of the Virginia Cavaliers Swim team at the University of Virginia, since assuming the position in 2017. He served as an Assistant Coach for the 2021 US Tokyo Summer Olympics Women's Swim Team, and in September 2023 was named to be the Head Coach for the U.S. Women's Swim team at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
