A sister open access journal focusing on applications of medical decision making, Medical Decision Making Policy & Practice, began publishing in 2016.

SLAS Technology is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening in partnership with Elsevier. The editor-in-chief is Edward Kai-Hua Chow, Ph.D.. Kameshwar Prasad is an Indian neurologist, medical researcher, academic and the head of the department of Neurology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi (AIIMS), known as a proponent of Evidence-based medicine (EBM) and Evidence-based Healthcare (EBHC). The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri in 1991.
