Alfonso Pons Ezquerra (Barcelona 9 November 1959), better known as Sito Pons, is a Spanish former professional Grand Prix motorcycle racer. He competed in the FIM motorcycle Grand Prix world championships from 1981 to 1991. Pons is notable for winning two consecutive 250cc road racing world championships in 1988 and 1989. [1]
After retiring from competition, Pons created the Honda-Pons Racing team in MotoGP, which had as its riders the likes of Loris Capirossi, Alex Barros, Max Biaggi and Troy Bayliss. [2] He was forced to disband the team before the 2006 season due to a lack of funding.
Pons also turned to auto racing, fielding a team in the World Series by Renault, which was mostly based in Spain. His team won the 2004 championship with driver Heikki Kovalainen. Pons returned to motorcycle racing in the 2010 Moto2 championship, fielding riders Sergio Gadea and his son, Axel Pons.
In 1990 he was awarded the Prince of Asturias Award for his achievements in sports. [2]
Pons is the father of Axel and Edgar Pons. [3]

Alexandre Barros is a Brazilian former professional motorcycle road racer who is a 7-time 500cc/MotoGP race winner and also a race winner in Superbike World Championship. After a long Grand Prix career, in 2006 he moved to the Superbike World Championship. He returned to MotoGP for 2007, but retired by the end of the season.
Alexander Hofmann is a retired Grand Prix motorcycle racer, who now works on German television coverage of the sport. He is nicknamed 'The Hoff' in English-speaking countries, a nod to David Hasselhoff.
Aleix Espargaró Villà is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. He was the Spanish 2004 FIM CEV 125cc International Champion, and currently competes in the MotoGP class for Aprilia Racing team.
John Kocinski is a retired American Grand Prix motorcycle road racer whose successes include winning the 1990 250cc World Championship, and the 1997 Superbike World Championship title.
Jorge Martínez Salvadores, nicknamed "Aspar", is a Spanish former professional motorcycle racer and racing team manager. He competed in the Grand Prix road racing world championships from 1982 to 1997. After retiring from active competition, Martínez became a successful motorcycle racing team owner. He is one of the most successful motorcycle racers in Grand Prix motorcycle racing history with 22 Grand Prix victories to his name in the 80 cc class and a further 15 wins in the 125 cc class. In 2019, Martínez was inducted into the MotoGP Hall of Fame.

Didier de Radiguès is a Belgian former professional motorcycle racer, auto racing driver and current artist. He also serves as a television sports color commentator for Belgium television, a Moto GP riders manager and as the owner of a motorcycle riding school. He competed in the FIM motorcycle Grand Prix world championships from 1980 to 1991.
Reinhold Roth was a Grand Prix motorcycle road racer from Germany. His most successful years were in 1987 when he won the French Grand Prix, and finished the season in second place behind Anton Mang, and in 1989 when he won the Dutch and Czechoslovakian Grand Prix and finished second to Sito Pons for the 250 world championship. Roth suffered severe injuries in a June 1990 racing accident and retired from competition.
Dominique Sarron is a former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer from France. His best year was in 1986 when he won the Brazilian Grand Prix and finished in third place in the 250cc world championship behind Carlos Lavado and Sito Pons. He won two races in 1988 riding for Honda and ended the season ranked fourth.
Pramac Racing is a motorcycle racing team competing in the MotoGP and MotoE World Championships. The team was created in 2002 by Italian company Pramac. In 2005 Pramac Racing joined forces with Spanish d'Antin MotoGP to form "Pramac d'Antin" and in 2007 the team became part of the Pramac Group. Antonio Cobas was a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle designer, constructor and mechanic who built world championship winning motorcycles. Cobas was credited with being the originator of the modern, aluminum frame chassis now used on many modern racing and production motorcycles.
Axel Pons Ramón is a Grand Prix motorcycle racer and model from Spain. His father Sito Pons is a former double World Champion in the 250cc class. He is a former competitor of the Spanish 125GP Championship, prior to competing at Grand Prix level. Aside from racing he is working as a model and currently managed by the Spanish agency Sight.

Nicolò Jarod Bulega is an Italian motorcycle racer, set to compete in the 2022 Supersport World Championship with Aruba.it Racing Ducati Team. He has also been a competitor in the CEV Moto3 Championship in 2014 and 2015, becoming Moto3 Junior World Champion in 2015. Prior to competing in the CEV, Bulega won the Italian and European MiniGP 50 championships, and was Italian champion in the PreGP 125 and PreGP 250 classes.
Edgar Pons Ramón is a Spanish former motorcycle racer. He was the FIM CEV Moto2 European champion in 2015 and 2019. He is son of Sito Pons and brother of Axel Pons.
Héctor Garzó Vicent is a Spanish motorcycle racer, competing in the MotoE World Cup for Tech3 team.
Augusto Fernández Guerra is a Spanish motorcycle racer who currently competes in the 2022 Moto2 World Championship, for the Red Bull KTM Ajo team. He won the Moto2 World Riders' Championship in 2022. He is not related to MotoGP rider Raúl Fernández, and not related to Raul’s younger brother Moto3 rider Adrián Fernández. He will compete for Tech3 GasGas Factory Racing in the 2023 MotoGP World Championship.
