Raden Panji Soeroso (EYD:Suroso) (born in Porong,Sidoarjo,East Java,Dutch East Indies,3 November 1893 - died in Indonesia,16 May 1981 at the age of 87 years) was a politician,Sarekat Islam activist,and a National Hero of Indonesia. He served as Governor of Central Java and Minister of Public Works and Manpower under the Great Indonesia Party. He was also a vice chairman of the BPUPK and a member of PPKI. He was the founder of the Civil Servants Cooperative Republic of Indonesia. Soeroso was born in Porong,Sidoarjo,East Java,Dutch East Indies. Soeroso was posthumously honored as an Indonesian National Hero through a Presidential Decree issued on October 23,1986. [1] He died in Indonesia.
One of his sons was Raden Panji Soejono (1926–present),an antiquities expert and senior archaeologist in Indonesia. Soejono is professor of prehistoric archeology at several universities in Indonesia. Among others:University of Indonesia,Gadjah Mada University and Udayana University. He was head of the National Archaeological Research Center (Pusat Penelitian Arkeologi Nasional) during the period of 1974-1989.
Prince Diponegoro,also known as Dipanegara,was a Javanese prince who opposed the Dutch colonial rule. The eldest son of the Yogyakartan Sultan Hamengkubuwono III,he played an important role in the Java War between 1825 and 1830. After his defeat and capture,he was exiled to Makassar,where he died,69 years old.

Topeng is a dramatic form of Indonesian dance in which one or more mask-wearing,ornately costumed performers interpret traditional narratives concerning fabled kings,heroes and myths,accompanied by gamelan or other traditional music instruments. Topeng dance is a typical Indonesian dance that can be found in various regions in Indonesia. Topeng dance has the main characteristic that the dancers use masks to cover their faces. The dance will usually be performed by one dancer or a group of dancers.
Probolinggo is a city on the north coast of East Java province,Indonesia. The Sidoarjo mud flow is the result of an erupting mud volcano in the subdistrict of Porong,Sidoarjo in East Java,Indonesia that has been in eruption since May 2006. It is the biggest mud volcano in the world;responsibility for the disaster was assigned to the blowout of a natural gas well drilled by PT Lapindo Brantas,although company officials contend it was caused by a very distant earthquake that occurred in a different province.

General Raden Oerip Soemohardjo was an Indonesian general,the first chief of staff of the Indonesian National Armed Forces,and the interim Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces. He received several awards from the Indonesian government,including the title National Hero of Indonesia in 1964. He was also a recognized Catholic by the Holy See,by which Pope Paul VI dedicated a memorial chalice for him with a Latin inscription acknowledging his legacy.
Raden Moehamad Djoehana Wiradikarta was a professor in microbiology and serology at the Bandung Institute of Technology and the faculty of medicine at Padjadjaran University,also in Bandung. He played a significant role in the development of the Indonesian higher education system.
Professor Raden Panji Soejono was an Indonesian archaeologist. He retired as director of the National Research Centre for Archaeology (ARKENAS) in 1987. Early in his career,in 1956,he served as Curator of Prehistory at the National Museum of Indonesia. He received the title of Extraordinarius Professor at the University of Indonesia and the Gadjah Mada University,and Doctor Onoris Causa at Aix-Marseille University. In 1990,he was awarded the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et Lettres.
Sulaiman Effendi Kusumah Atmaja was an Indonesian judge and national hero who served as the first chief justice of the Supreme Court of Indonesia from August 1945 until August 1952. He was born to a noble ethnic-Sundanese family in Purwakarta,and obtained a law diploma from the Rechtschool in 1913. In 1919,he worked as a court clerk in Bandung,before leaving that job to continue his legal education at Leiden University. After graduating from Leiden in 1922,he returned to the East Indies,and became a judge in Batavia and later Indramayu.
Soetomo was an Indonesian physician and nationalist. He was the co-founder of Budi Utomo,the first native political society in the Dutch East Indies,and led the Great Indonesia Party (Parindra) from 1935 until his death. Soetomo was declared a national hero by President Sukarno in 1961.

Major General Muhammad Mangundiprojo was a 20th-century Indonesian soldier,revolutionary,and civil servant. Born in Sragen Regency on the island of Java,Mangundiprojo joined a nationalist group during the Second World War. He later fought against the return of Dutch colonial authority to Indonesia,and later went on to become a politician. He died in Bandar Lampung in 1988.
Satyawati Suleiman was an Indonesian historian and archaeologist. She is considered a pioneer in Indonesian archaeology and was one of the first women in the field,being the first female archaeology graduate from her alma mater at the University of Indonesia. Her contributions were particularly noted in archaeological research on Srivijaya.
Sujono Hadinoto was an Indonesian politician,lawyer,and academician. Born in Blora Regency,he studied law in the Rechts Hogeschool. After graduating,he became active in the Indonesian independence movement. During the Indonesian National Revolution,Sujono became a member of the Indonesian National Party,later serving as party chairman from 1947 until 1950. Following the recognition of Indonesian sovereignty in 1949,he served as Minister of Economic Affairs in the Soekiman Cabinet. He later became dean of the Faculty of Law of the University of Indonesia. In 1964,he was appointed to the Supreme Advisory Council by Sukarno,and in 1966,he was appointed Ambassador of Indonesia to Hungary. He served as ambassador until 1970. He died on 29 December 1977 in Jakarta,and was buried in Bogor.
Raden Aria Wangsakara was a seventeenth century Sultan from Java,Muslim cleric and warrior who is generally credited with being the founder of Tangerang,a city in Indonesia which is now within the Jakarta metropolitan area. In November 2021 he was declared a National Hero of Indonesia by president Joko Widodo.
Panji Surachman Tjokroadisurjo,more commonly referred to Surachman Tjokroadisurjo,was an Indonesian politician and academic. He served in a number of cabinets during the National Revolution,as the Minister of Welfare and later the Minister of Finance.
