Solid Rock is a compilation by The Rolling Stones released in 1980. It was the first Decca compilation in five years. It would be followed by a compilation of ballads a year later called Slow Rollers .

The Hits Album 5 or Hits 5 is a compilation album released in November 1986 by RCA-Ariola, CBS and WEA. It was the fifth in the Hits series which would span over 20 years, with the first volume released in December 1984. This was also the first Hits compilation to be released on Compact Disc - a single-CD featuring 16 of the 32 tracks featured on the conventional LP and cassette. It also managed to reach number one on the UK Albums Chart where it remained for two weeks, before being dethroned by its rival Now 8. A video compilation was also released on VHS by CBS/Fox Video.

Less popular and well known than the contemporaneous compilation album Hot Rocks 1964–1971, it was released by Decca without the consent or input from the band. Due to the nature of their contract prior to 1971, the band lost all rights to releases of their own music prior to 1971; those rights instead are held jointly by ABKCO Records and Decca Records. Both ABKCO and Decca would continue to release compilation albums, without input from the band, over the next several decades. The front cover is a closeup of Mick Jagger live, while the back cover shows the faces of the rest of the band's original lineup: Brian Jones, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts, in four boxes much like The Beatles Let It Be front cover.
