    University of Georgia Public university in Athens, Georgia

    The University of Georgia is a public land-grant research university with its main campus in Athens, Georgia. Founded in 1785, it is one of the oldest public universities in the United States. It serves as the flagship of the University System of Georgia.

    Collegiate Gothic Architectural style

    Collegiate Gothic is an architectural style subgenre of Gothic Revival architecture, popular in the late-19th and early-20th centuries for college and high school buildings in the United States and Canada, and to a certain extent Europe. A form of historicist architecture, it took its inspiration from English Tudor and Gothic buildings. It has returned in the 21st century in the form of prominent new buildings at schools and universities including Princeton and Yale.

    The Georgia Bulldogs are the athletic teams that represent the University of Georgia. The female athletic teams are sometimes referred to as Lady Bulldogs. The Bulldogs compete in NCAA Division I and are members of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The official mascot is an English Bulldog named Uga,, while the costumed character version of Uga is Hairy Dawg.

    Jack Bauerle is the head coach of the University of Georgia (UGA) men's and women's swimming teams. In the spring of 2017, he finished his 39th year as a head coach for the UGA women's team and his 32nd year as men's head coach. Bauerle began coaching the women's team in 1979 and later became head coach for the men's team as well in 1983. He has three children John, Magill and Duke who have followed in Jack's footsteps.

    Ivan Ivanov (mayor) Bulgarian mayor

    Ivan Ivanov, (1891–1965) was a Bulgarian engineer and mayor of Sofia in the period 25 May 1934 – 9 September 1944. He was born in Sliven. He has studied in Stara Zagora, the Military school of Sofia, and in 1915 he graduated civil engineering in Munich, Germany.

    Jot D. Carpenter was an American landscape architect and Professor of Landscape Architecture in the Knowlton School of Architecture at Ohio State University.

    Karin Lichey Usry is an American gymnast [born 19 September 1977, in Cincinnati, Ohio]. She attended the University of Georgia from 1996–1999, and was part of both NCAA Championship teams in 1998 and 1999. She earned first-team All-America certificates in all five categories both of those years and earned a total of 11 All-America awards in her career. The Southeastern Conference recognized her as its Freshman of the Year in 1996 and Gymnast of the Year in 1999. She won the Honda Sports Award as the nations's top gymnast in 1999.

    Bimal Patel (architect) Indian architect and urban planner

    Bimal Hasmukh Patel is an architect from Gujarat, India, with over 35 years of professional, research and teaching experience in architecture, urban design and urban planning. He is President of CEPT University in Ahmedabad and leads HCP Design Planning and Management Private Limited, an architecture, planning and project management firm. He also founded Environmental Planning Collaborative, a not-for-profit, planning research and advocacy organization.

    Dina Stancheva is a Bulgarian architect who has received multiple awards for her designs. She was honored with the Koliu Ficheto award in 1968, the Red Banner of Labor Award in 1977, and received the Gold Badge of the Bulgarian Union of Architects in 1985.

    Clermont Huger Lee American landscape architect

    Clermont Huger Lee was a landscape architect from Savannah, Georgia, most known for her work designing gardens and parks for historical landmarks in the state. Specifically, Lee is known for her designs such as the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace, Isaiah Davenport House and Owens-Thomas House. Lee assisted in founding of the Georgia State Board of Landscape Architects which serves as a licensing board for landscape architects throughout Georgia. She is considered one of the first women to establish their own private architecture practice in Georgia and was inducted into the Georgia Women of Achievement in 2017 and Savannah College of Art and Design's Savannah Women of Vision on February 14, 2020. SCAD honors Lee with a gold relief in its Arnold hall.

    Karen Chapple American city planning academic

    Karen Chapple is an American city planning academic and currently holds the Carmel P. Friesen Chair in Urban Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.

    Vishaan Chakrabarti is an American architect and professor. He is the founder of Practice for Architecture and Urbanism (PAU), which is an architecture firm based in New York. In 2018 he was named a fellow of the American Institute of Architects. For a period of one year, from July 2020 to September 2021, Chakrabarti served as the Dean at the College of Environmental Design at UC Berkeley.
