The South Africa A cricket team is a national cricket team representing South Africa. It is the second-tier of international South African cricket, below the full South Africa national cricket team. Matches played by South Africa A are not Test matches or One Day Internationals, instead receiving first-class and List A classification respectively. Zubayr Hamza is the current captain of the side. History

South Africa A played their first match in January 1994, a five-day first-class contest against the touring England A cricket team.

South Africa A have played a number of series, both home and away against other national A teams, and competed against other first-class opposition. Their first tour was to Zimbabwe in 199495, when they played three first-class matches and three one-day matches, including one match against Zimbabwe A. They played their first Twenty20 in November 2009, facing an England XI as part of the English tour of South Africa.

At 22, he was appointed as South Africa's youngest ever captain. He was the most capped captain ever when he played his 102nd test against England. He is considered as one of the greatest ever test captains of all-time having led South Africa to a record 54 test victories and under his captaincy South Africa was often highlighted as the best travelling team in the world.

Barney Guy Rogers is a Zimbabwean former international cricketer. He played four Test matches and 15 One Day Internationals (ODIs) for the Zimbabwe national cricket team between 2002 and 2005 and first-class cricket in Zimabwean domestic competitions. He played as a left-handed batsman who bowled occasional off-spin. Rogers was good enough at field hockey to play at under-20 level for Zimbabwe.

This article is an introduction to the history of first-class cricket in Zimbabwe, formerly Rhodesia and Southern Rhodesia. The timespan of the article is from the formation of a first-class Rhodesian team in August 1890 until the inaugural Test appearance of Zimbabwe in October 1992.

The New Zealand national cricket team toured South Africa from October 1953 to February 1954 and played a five match Test series against the South Africa national cricket team. South Africa won the Test series 4–0. The tour was the first by a representative New Zealand side to South Africa and the tourists embarked on their visit without having won a Test match since they had been granted full member status of the Imperial Cricket Conference in 1930.

The New Zealand national cricket team toured South Africa from October 1961 to February 1962 and played a five-match Test series against the South Africa national cricket team. The series was drawn 2–2, with New Zealand's victory in the third Test the team's first Test match win outside their home country. New Zealand captain John Reid scored a total of 1,915 runs during the tour, setting a record for the most runs scored in South Africa by a touring batsman. The tour was the second to South Africa by a team from New Zealand, the previous tour having taken place in 1953–54.

Cricket is a popular sport in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) is a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Cricket Australia XI is a domestic cricket team that plays matches against international teams touring Australia. The team formerly played in Australia's JLT Cup limited-overs tournament. Before each tournament, a 14-man squad was selected from young players with state contracts, or Australian National Performance Squad players, who had not been picked in their respective states' 14-man List A squads for that season's tournament. The aim was to develop their skills against top players.

The Zimbabwe cricket team toured South Africa in December 2017 to play a four-day Test match as a day/night fixture which started on Boxing Day. Zimbabwe last played a Test match in South Africa in March 2005. Ahead of the Test match, there was also a three-day day/night match between Zimbabwe and a Cricket South Africa Invitation XI. The Test match finished inside two days, with South Africa winning by an innings and 120 runs.

The South Africa A cricket team toured Zimbabwe in May and June 2021 to play four unofficial One Day International matches and two unofficial Test matches against the Zimbabwe A cricket team. The fixtures for the tour were confirmed by Zimbabwe Cricket on 17 May 2021, with all of the matches having played in Harare. Zimbabwe Cricket's official YouTube channel streamed all the matches live.
