The CSA Provincial Competitions are three South African domestic cricket competitions run by Cricket South Africa (CSA). Three-day (first-class) and one-day competitions were introduced for the 2004–05 season, while a Twenty20 competition was introduced for the 2011–12 season.
Bernard Martinus Scholtz is a Namibian cricketer. Born in Keetmanshoop, he is a right-handed batsman and a slow left-arm bowler. His brother, Nicolaas, four years his senior, has played first-class cricket since 2004.

Abdu Dayyaan Galiem is a South African cricketer who plays for Western Province. Galiem was born in Cape Town, and educated at Rondebosch Boys High School. Playing as an all-rounder, he made his debut for Western Province in September 2015, playing against Easterns in the Africa T20 Cup. In December 2015, Galiem was named in the South African under-19s squad for the 2016 Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh. He was originally also named in the team for the 2014 World Cup, but was replaced by Bradley Dial prior to the tournament after suffering a knee injury.
Michael van Lingen is a Namibian cricketer. In January 2016, he was named in Namibia's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He was one of the most successful bowlers at the tournament, and was also praised during Namibia's surprise victory over South Africa when he walked after being caught behind despite the umpire not giving him out. He made his first-class debut for Northerns on 3 March 2016 in the Sunfoil 3-Day Cup tournament.
Delano Potgieter is a South African first-class cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Gauteng against Northerns. In September 2018, he was named in Gauteng's squad for the 2018 Africa T20 Cup. He was the leading run-scorer for Gauteng in the tournament, with 217 runs in six matches. He was the leading wicket-taker for Gauteng in the 2018–19 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge, with 17 dismissals in nine matches.
Carlos Koyana is a South African cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Western Province in the 2016–17 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on 6 October 2016. He made his Twenty20 debut for Western Province in the 2017 Africa T20 Cup on 25 August 2017.
Grant Roelofsen is a South African cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Gauteng in the 2016–17 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on 13 October 2016. He was the leading run-scorer in the 2017–18 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup for KwaZulu-Natal Inland, with 781 runs in ten matches.

Abdoellah Steenkamp is a South African cricket umpire. He has stood in matches in the Sunfoil 3-Day Cup tournament. He is part of Cricket South Africa's umpire panel for first-class matches.
Fritz Coetzee is a Namibian cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Namibia in the 2016–17 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on 8 December 2016. Before his first-class debut, he was part of Namibia's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He led the tournament in wickets, taking 15 wickets from 6 matches with a best of 3/16 against South Africa. In November 2016, he won the U19 Cricketer Award at Cricket Namibia's annual awards ceremony.
Rudi Birkenstock is a South African cricket umpire. He has stood in matches in the 2016–17 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup and the 2016–17 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge tournaments. His son, Karl, plays first-class cricket for Namibia.

The competition was played between the thirteen South African provincial teams and Namibia. Unlike its counterpart, the Sunfoil Series, the matches were three days in length instead of four.
The 2017–18 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup was a first-class cricket competition that took place in South Africa from 12 October 2017 to 15 April 2018. The competition was played between the thirteen South African provincial teams and Namibia. Unlike its counterpart, the Sunfoil Series, the matches were three days in length instead of four. The tournament was played in parallel with the 2017–18 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge, a List A competition which features the same teams.
