Sports in Jordan are important to the country's culture.
Football is the most popular sport in Jordan. The national football team reached 37th place in September 2004 according to the FIFA World Rankings, and finished as runners-up at the AFC Asian Cup in 2023. The Jordan League attracts reasonable crowds. Under the Jordan League is the Second Division Jordan League. However the bottom two teams in the first division get relegated at the end of the season, whilst the top two teams in the second division are promoted.[ citation needed ]
Rugby is on the rise in Jordan. There are four clubs in Jordan: Amman Citadel Rugby Club,Nomads Rugby Club, Aqaba Sharks and Amman Saracens

Jordan's national basketball team is now being sponsored by Zain and participating in various Arab and Middle East basketball competitions. Local teams include: Al-Orthodoxi Club, Al-Riyadi, Zain, Al-Hussein and Al-Jazeera.[ citation needed ]
Skateboarding is becoming popular in Jordan after the construction of 7Hills Skatepark in Amman.[ citation needed ]
Although cycling is not a very famous sport in Jordan, the sport is developing.[ citation needed ] The governing body of cycling in Jordan is the Jordanian Cycling Federation (JCF).[ citation needed ]
Sport in the United Kingdom plays an important role in British culture and the United Kingdom has played a significant role in the organisation and spread of sporting culture globally. Al-Wehdat Sports Club is a Jordanian sports club founded in 1956. The club is based in and represents the Amman New Camp, a Palestinian refugee camp also known as Al-Wehdat. Al-Wehdat's home games are played at King Abdullah II Stadium.

Shabab Al-Ordon Club is a Jordanian professional football club based in Amman, that competes in the Jordanian Pro League. The club was established in 2002, but originated from its club Al-Qadisiyah.

Armenians in Jordan are ethnic Armenians living in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. There are an estimated 3,000 Armenians living in the country today with an estimated 2,500 of them being members of the Armenian Apostolic Church, and predominantly speak Western Armenian dialect. Armenians make up the biggest majority of non-Arab Christians in the country.
Because of Lebanon's unique geography, both summer and winter sports thrive in the country. In fact, during autumn and spring it is sometimes possible to engage in both activities on the same day; for example, skiing in the morning and swimming in the afternoon.

Zain Basketball Club formerly known as Fastlink Basketball Club was a Jordanian basketball club based in Amman, Jordan. They compete in the Jordanian Premier Basketball League and have won six consecutive Jordanian championships in the period 2003 to 2008-09 season. The team has been disbanded in 2010.
