Saint Patrick's College, also known as Saint Patricks Government College, is a college located in Karachi, Pakistan affiliated with the University of Karachi. It is located alongside St Patrick's High School, Karachi.
It was established in 1952 by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Karachi. [1]
Saint Patrick's College is a co-educational institution offering courses leading to the Intermediate certificate of education [2] and baccalaureate degrees from the University of Karachi. In 1972 it was nationalized by the Government of Pakistan. [1]
In 2005 it was returned to the Catholic Board of Education. [3] The denationalization was opposed by the Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association and Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal who claimed it would result in doors being closed to students from poor- and middle-class families. [4]
The Father Stephen Raymond Scholarship Program for students was launched by the college in 2014. On January 5, 2020, the fifth scholarship ceremony was held at the College, attended by Cardinal Joseph Coutts. [5]
St Patrick's High School is a Catholic primary and secondary school located in Saddar Town, Sindh, Karachi, Pakistan. Founded by the Jesuits in 1861, the school is the second-oldest school in Karachi. Since 1950, it has been run by the diocesan clergy of the Archdiocese of Karachi.

The 2004–05 ABN-AMRO Twenty-20 Cup was the first edition of the ABN-AMRO Twenty-20 Cup, a domestic Twenty20 tournament in Pakistan sponsored by ABN AMRO. It was held from 25 to 30 April 2005 in Lahore. The Faisalabad Wolves won the tournament by defeating the Karachi Dolphins in the final. As the winners, the Faisalabad Wolves were invited to compete in the International 20:20 Club Championship in September 2005, which they also won.
