Stellar West is an American indie punk band from Naperville, Illinois, United States, formed in 2014. The group consists of Parker Belonio (vocals, guitar), Cole Onley (bass guitar), Levi Hansen (Guitar) and JC Kuppinger (drums). Their debut release, the EP Songs From the Basement, was released on October 22, 2015 and their first album, Unfiltered, was released on November 13, 2016. [1] Both the EP and LP were produced by Adam Krier and engineered by Andy Gerber at Million Yen Studios. Pre-production was done at Sound Summit with Adam Krier and Charlie Dresser. Their EP Kermit the Fraud was produced and engineered at Sound Summit Studios in Naperville. On September 27, 2020, they released Penny. Penny is a single off of MORTAL WOMBAT, their sophomore LP which drops October 10, 2020. This LP was also produced and engineered at Sound Summit.
Stellar West (formerly Stellar) formed in May 2014 after the trio met at a School of Rock in their hometown, not unlike other up and coming young bands, Hippo Campus and Doll Skin who got the same start. [2] Just over a year after their formation, they released their debut EP, Songs From the Basement, digitally and on CD. At the end of 2015, the band was recognized by Forkster Promotions by winning three categories in the website's year-end music awards, including placing 50 out of the top 100 new artists of the year. January 2016 saw the band being invited to perform live on WGN Morning News, where they performed their song "Interference" and a cover of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit". [4] In mid-2016, the band won a contest through the music festival Riot Fest and were invited to perform at the event later that year. [5]
Stellar West's first album, Unfiltered, was released at the end of 2016. Following its release, the band was included in Alternative Press's list of the best bands under 21. [6]
In April 2017, the band was chosen as a top Chicago finalist to open for Metallica on a five city tour. [7]

Metallica is an American heavy metal band. The band was formed in 1981 in Los Angeles by vocalist and guitarist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich, and has been based in San Francisco for most of its career. The band's fast tempos, instrumentals and aggressive musicianship made them one of the founding "big four" bands of thrash metal, alongside Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer. Nomeansno was a Canadian punk rock band formed in Victoria, British Columbia and later relocated to Vancouver. They issued 11 albums, including a collaborative album with Jello Biafra, as well as numerous EPs and singles. Critic Martin Popoff described their music as "the mightiest merger between the hateful aggression of punk and the discipline of heavy metal." Nomeansno's distinct hardcore punk sound, complex instrumentation, and dark, "savagely intelligent" lyrics inspired subsequent musicians. They are often considered foundational in the punk jazz and post-hardcore movements, and have been cited as a formative influence on the math rock and emo genres.

Corrosion of Conformity is an American heavy metal band from Raleigh, North Carolina, formed in 1982. The band has undergone multiple lineup changes throughout its existence, with guitarist Woody Weatherman as the sole constant member. Weatherman, founding bassist Mike Dean, founding drummer Reed Mullin and vocalist/guitarist Pepper Keenan are widely regarded as its 'classic' lineup. After a hiatus in 2006, Corrosion of Conformity returned in 2010 without Keenan, who had been busy touring and recording with Down, but announced their reunion with him in December 2014.

The band is known for influencing several sub-genres of extreme music and their songs have been covered by some of the biggest names in heavy metal and other genres. The musical sub-genre of D-beat is named after Discharge and the band's distinctive drumbeat.

Andrew John Hurley is an American musician. He is the drummer for the rock band Fall Out Boy. Prior to Fall Out Boy, Hurley played in several hardcore punk bands. He joined Fall Out Boy as the full-time drummer in 2003 and was in the band's lineup until its hiatus in 2009. Following that, he formed the heavy metal supergroup The Damned Things with Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman; the group went on hiatus after its debut album, Ironiclast (2010), due to band members focusing on their original bands' new album cycles. Hurley moved on to hardcore punk band Enabler which released a debut album and toured in 2012.
Stellar Kart was an American pop punk band from Phoenix, Arizona, signed to Inpop Records and Capitol Records. The band released their first album, All Gas. No Brake, in February 2005. Most of their singles have been accepted exclusively on Christian radio stations such as Air 1. Their song "Me and Jesus" from their 2006 album We Can't Stand Sitting Down hit No. 1 for seven weeks on the Hot Christian Songs chart and won the 2007 Dove Award for "Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song". Their song "Something Holy" from their 2010 album Everything Is Different Now, an album which adopts a more "worshipful" flavor charted at No. 23 on Billboard Magazine for eighteen weeks. Their latest full-length album, All In, was released on August 27, 2013.
The Business were an English punk band formed in 1979 in Lewisham, South London, England. The band lasted for four decades until their frontman Micky Fitz died from cancer in December 2016.
Teenage Bottlerocket is an American rock band formed in Laramie, Wyoming in 2000. Raised in Michigan, Wilkes-Krier began his musical career in the mid-1990s. He performed in a number of local bands before eventually moving to New York, where he produced his first recordings under the Andrew W.K. moniker.
The Wonder Years is an American pop-punk band from Lansdale, Pennsylvania, that formed in July 2005. The band currently consists of Dan "Soupy" Campbell, Casey Cavaliere, Matt Brasch, Josh Martin, Nick Steinborn and Mike Kennedy. They have released six full-length albums, two EPs, and several splits/compilations. The group is currently signed to Hopeless Records. Their name originates from a paper that lead vocalist Dan 'Soupy' Campbell read that was written by one of his after-school educators titled "The Wonder Years."
The Obvious is an American independent alternative/punk rock band that was formed in Asbury Park, New Jersey, United States, in mid-2005. The band currently consists of frontwoman Surojanie "Angie" Sugrim, Dan Astorri, and Biff Swenson (bass). The band has shared a similar style to other punk/alt-rock bands such as early Nirvana, Hole, and the Afghan Whigs. The Obvious has developed itself to be one of the most prominent punk rock acts to come out of the mid-2000s revival of the Asbury Park music scene.
Basement are an English rock band formed in 2009 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. Their first studio album, I Wish I Could Stay Here, was released in 2011. The next year, Colourmeinkindness was released, charting on the Billboard Top 200.
PUP is a Canadian punk rock band formed in Toronto, Ontario in 2010, originally under the name Topanga. PUP's self-titled debut album was released on October 8, 2013, on Royal Mountain Records. In December 2013, PUP signed with SideOneDummy Records and re-released their debut album in the United States on April 8, 2014. The group was in the studio in late 2015 recording their second album The Dream Is Over which was released on May 27, 2016, through SideOneDummy. The band's third album, titled Morbid Stuff, was released on April 5, 2019. This Place Sucks Ass, a six-track EP, was released on October 27, 2020. Their fourth album, The Unraveling of PUPTheBand, was released on April 1, 2022.
Residual Kid is an American rock band from Austin, Texas formed in 2009 at rock camp USA. The group consists of Deven Ivy, Ben Redman (drums), and Max Redman. They have released three EPs: Box in 2011, which was recorded with an earlier lineup, Faces, featuring the current lineup, in 2012, and Salsa in 2016.
Destroy Boys are an American punk rock band formed in Sacramento, California, in 2015. In 2017, they were nominated for awards in the 25th Sacramento Area Music Awards in the categories "New Artist", "Punk/post-punk" and "Teen" and in 2018 was the highest-voted contestant in Do The Bay's contest to play Noise Pop Festival. Their second album Make Room was included in Maximumrocknroll's top 10 albums of 2018.
