Steve Dixon better known by his stage name Stig of the Dump, is an English rapper from Newcastle upon Tyne, who built a reputation as a battle rapper in London. He lived in Spain for many years but has now returned to the United Kingdom.

Career

Stig's first major release was The Homeless Microphonist EP in 2006, followed by the Braindead 12", which featured RA the Rugged Man. He released his first full-length album, Mood Swings, in 2010. He is signed to Lewis Recordings.

Stig is a regular on the battle-rap circuits; his titles so far include two World End of the Weak Challenge Champion of Champions, two UK End of the Weak Challenge Champion, [1] UK Battlescars Champion and Jump Off Tag Team Champion. [2] He also gained notoriety for his impromptu battle with Asher D, at the film premiere of Life and Lyrics in 2006. [3] He has also appeared as a judge on Don't Flop . [4]

Ritual of Battle is the second studio album by underground hip hop collective Army of the Pharaohs. Released on September 25, 2007 under Babygrande Records, the album features group members Vinnie Paz, Jus Allah, OuterSpace, Chief Kamachi, Reef the Lost Cauze, Esoteric, Celph Titled, King Syze, Des Devious, Doap Nixon, Demoz, and King Magnetic. Although he was prominently featured on the group's debut album The Torture Papers, Apathy does not appear on Ritual of Battle. While still a member of the group, he explains on a MySpace blog that he was recording with Styles of Beyond in Los Angeles during the Army's album recording sessions. The rapper recorded for one song, titled "A.O.T.P.", produced by Snowgoons, but it was not included on the album. This song was included on the Apathy compilation Hell's Lost & Found: It's The Bootleg, Muthafu@kas! Volume 2.
