Storm the Sky were an Australian rock band formed in Melbourne.
The band was formed in Melbourne in 2011 and consisted of vocalists Daniel Breen and William Jarratt, the guitarists Andy Szetho and Billy Green, as well as bassist Kristian Evangelistis and drummer Alex Trail.
The band released a self-titled MCD in 2012. A year later the release of the EP Vigilance followed. Between 11 and 22 September Storm the Sky toured Australia as supporting act for Fit for a King. [1] Storm the Sky got signed to UNFD in November 2014 announced the release of their debut album in early 2015. [2] The band acquired Matty Mullins of Memphis May Fire as guest musician for the song Portraits which is featured on the album called Permanence. [3] The album entered the Australian Albums charts peaking at no. 45. [4]
In January and February 2015 the band supported American rock band Chiodos during their Australian tour. [5] In March the sixtet supported In Hearts Wake before touring Australia as headlining act for the first time. [6] [7]
Vocalist Daniel Breen announced his departure through letters directly to the bands closest fans in early 2016. [8] This marked a new musical direction for the band as the band moved away from their previous metalcore/post-hardcore sound. The band later announced their follow-up record Sin Will Find You which was set for release on 5 August of the same year. [9] The album peaked at no. 30 in the Australian Albums charts. [4] The band supported Pierce the Veil on their Australian run of their world tour in promotion of their fourth record Misadventures along with an Australian headliner tour [10]
On 10 January 2017 the band released a video on their Facebook page announcing that drummer Alex Trail will be leaving the band, whose last show would be at the bands set at UNIFY Gathering 2017. [11]
On 18 November 2018 the band announced a they would be disbanding after a final Australian Tour with their "Permanence-era" line up in 2019. [12] The band cited each member had desires to move onto future endeavours. Vocalist William Jarratt has started a solo project and guitarist Andy Szetho has started a dream pop project under the name Soft Powder. Harsh vocalist Daniel Breen formed new project called Steadfast. [13]
Storm the Sky's music is describable as atmospheric metalcore, while the guitars are described as progressive. [14] On their second album the band combined their natural metalcore style with influences from Death rock and Pop music which led the atmospheric sound to be more in foreground. [15] The dark-sounding synthesizer has been compared to U2, while the dynamics in their songs can be compared to hardcore act letlive. [16] [17]
Make Them Suffer is an Australian metalcore band from Perth, formed in 2008. They are currently signed to SharpTone Records. Their debut studio album, Neverbloom, peaked at No. 56 on the ARIA Album charts in June 2012, and showcased the band's earlier mix of metalcore, blackened death metal, and symphonic metal. Its follow-up Old Souls debuted at No. 30 upon release in May 2015 and displayed the band beginning to transition from death/black metal to a more progressive metalcore sound. After the band signed with Rise Records, the label released an expanded version of Old Souls in August 2016, containing also an EP from their death metal era Lord of Woe and a new track, "Ether".
House Vs. Hurricane are an Australian post-hardcore band from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, formed in 2006. The band released their debut studio album, Perspectives in March 2010. The band's second studio album, Crooked Teeth was released in July 2012 and peaked at number 20 in the ARIA Charts.
Buried in Verona were an Australian metalcore band from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, formed in 2007. They have released five albums, the most recent being Vultures Above, Lions Below, released in August 2015. In August 2016, UNFD, their signed record company, announced on their Facebook page that the band was breaking up.

Hands Like Houses are an Australian rock band from Canberra. Formed in 2008, the group is currently signed to Hopeless Records and UNFD. Their debut album, Ground Dweller, was released on 13 March 2012, charting at number 141 on the Billboard 200 and number 2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart. Their second album, Unimagine, was released on 23 July 2013, during their route on Warped Tour. In Hearts Wake are an Australian metalcore band from Byron Bay, formed in 2006. The band comprises vocalist Jake Taylor, guitarists Eaven Dall and Ben Nairne, bassist Kyle Erich, and drummer Conor Ward. They have released five studio albums: Divination, Earthwalker, Skydancer, Ark and Kaliyuga, which was released on 7 August 2020. The band's lyrical themes include environmentalism, environmental justice, global warming, conservation, and other social issues.
Erra is an American progressive metalcore band from Birmingham, Alabama, formed in 2009. The band was named after the homonymous Akkadian god of war and plague. The band has released five studio albums and three EPs to date. Their latest album, titled Erra, was released on March 19, 2021. They have toured with bands such as As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, TesseracT, Born of Osiris, Ice Nine Kills, Glass Cloud, Within the Ruins and Texas in July.
Divination is the debut studio album by Australian metalcore band In Hearts Wake. It was released on 31 August 2012 through UNFD and Rise Records. It was produced by Josh Schroeder and recorded at Random Awesome Studio in Bay City during early 2012.
The One Hundred is an English crossover band from London, combining elements of metalcore, punk, grime, rap and electronics. The band released their debut EP Subculture in 2014 via Australian independent label UNFD and have toured extensively across the United Kingdom and Europe as well as performing at major festivals such as Sonisphere, Download Festival and Reading and Leeds. In September 2016 the band announced via their social media that they had signed to Spinefarm Records, a division of Universal Music Group.

Mesmer is the fourth studio album by Australian heavy metal band Northlane. It was released on 24 March 2017 through UNFD, with no announcement prior to the release. It was produced by David Bendeth and recorded at The Barber Shop Studio in Hopatcong. It follows the group's slight departure from their metalcore roots and towards a more alternative and experimental sound, as established on their previous release, Node. It peaked at No. 3 on the ARIA Albums Chart. It is the last Northlane album to feature their founding bassist Alex Milovic as a member of the band.
Void of Vision are an Australian metalcore band from Melbourne, formed in 2013. The band consists of guitarists James McKendrick and Mitch Fairlie, drummer George Murphy, and vocalist Jack Bergin. The band currently consists of vocalist Jacob Charlton, guitarist Ethan McCann, drummer Ben Maida, and bass guitarist Nick Sjogren. Thornhill have released two studio albums: The Dark Pool (2019) and Heroine (2022), and two EPs: 13 (2016) and Butterfly (2018).
