The Super Boxing League is the first professional boxing league in India. [1] [2] British businessman Bill Dosanjh and former boxing champion Amir Khan founded Super Boxing League in 2017, [3] after Super Fight League's first season. The league is organised with the support of World Boxing Council and Professional Boxing Organisation India. [4] The first season had 8 teams comprising both men and women pugilists. [5]

2017 SBL season

The first edition of SBL was held from July 7 to August 12, 2017, at Siri Fort, New Delhi. Maratha Yoddhas beat Haryana Warriors to become inaugural champion. While Sukhdeep Singh of Warriors was the Best Boxer of the league and Sandeep Chikara of Yoddhas was given the title of Best Knockout of the league.[ citation needed ]

Amir Iqbal Khan is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2005 to 2022. He held unified light-welterweight world championships between 2009 and 2012, including the WBA and IBF titles. At regional level, he held the Commonwealth lightweight title from 2007 to 2008. He also held the WBC Silver welterweight title from 2014 to 2016, and once challenged for the WBC and Ring magazine middleweight titles in 2016.

The TT Premier Football League 2 is a league for semi-professional association football clubs in Trinidad and Tobago. It is the second-highest division of the Trinidad and Tobago football league system. The league currently comprises 19 teams between 2 leagues and operates on a system of relegation between those leagues. The 2012 Indian Premier League season, abbreviated as IPL 5 or the IPL 2012 or the DLF IPL 2012, was the fifth season of the Indian Premier League, initiated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2007 with the first season played in 2008. Fakhar Zaman is a Pakistani international cricketer who plays for the Pakistan national cricket team. He also plays for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League. Pardeep Narwal is an Indian kabaddi player who currently plays for the UP Yoddha in VIVO Pro Kabaddi League and the Indian National Kabaddi team. Widely regarded as the greatest raider in Kabaddi history, he led the Patna Pirates to three straight VIVO Pro Kabaddi titles and holds a multitude of the league's raiding records.

Neeraj Goyat is an Indian professional boxer. He won the title of "India's most promising boxer" in 2008. He is also the first professional boxer who played three fights of twelve rounds and won it. The first Indian boxer to have made it to WBC World Rankings. Also he won award of WBC Asia "Honorary Boxer of the year" in 2017. He became the only Indian boxer whose face can be seen on the WBC belt and because of him, first time Indian Flag can be seen on a WBC belt. He become first Indian who defeated china's boxer Xu Can in China itself in the year 2014, who is World Boxing Association world champion. Neeraj was in a car accident in 2019, but has recovered and competed since.

The 2017 Vivo Pro Kabaddi League season was the fifth season of Pro Kabaddi League, a professional kabaddi league in India since 2014. It is organised by Mashal Sports and Star India. This season includes 12 teams after the inclusion of four new teams: UP Yoddha, Tamil Thalaivas, Haryana Steelers and Gujarat Fortunegiants.

Maninder Singh is an Indian professional Kabaddi player who plays for the India national kabaddi Team. He is the captain and lead raider of Bengal Warriors In the Pro Kabaddi League. Maninder is regarded as one of the best raiders in the league. He led Bengal Warriors to their maiden PKL trophy in 2019.

Ultimate Kho Kho (UKK) is an Indian franchise-based kho-kho league started in 2022. It is hosted in collaboration by Dabur with the Kho Kho Federation of India. The inaugural season, consisting of 6 teams, took place from 14 August to 4 September 2022, with Odisha Juggernauts winning the season after beating Telugu Yoddhas by the score of 46-45 in the final; it had a viewership of 64 million, 41 million of which came from India, making UKK the third-most viewed non-cricket competition in India after the Pro Kabaddi League and the Indian Super League.
