Djurgårdens IF Fotbollsförening – commonly known as Djurgårdens IF, Djurgården Fotboll, Djurgården, and Djurgår'n, Dif or DIF – is the professional men's association football department of its parent association Djurgårdens IF. Founded 1891 on the island of Djurgården, the club's home ground is Tele2 Arena, situated in the Johanneshov district of Stockholm.
Västerås SK Bandy is the men's bandy side of the Swedish sports club Västerås SK, located in Västerås. The senior side currently plays in the Swedish Elitserien, the top division of Swedish bandy.
Edsbyns IF, is a bandy team from Edsbyn in Ovanåker Municipality in Sweden founded on 6 June 1909. The bandy section of the club was founded as late as in 1925 was formally made a club of its own on 28 June 2000.

The combination Allsvenskan and Elitserien was earlier the highest level of bandy in Sweden contested annually between Swedish bandy clubs. The Allsvenskan was split into two regional divisions: the Allsvenskan Norra (north) and the Allsvenskan Södra (south), in which the teams played during the autumn. After the Christmas holiday the Allsvenskan was split into Elitserien and Superallsvenskan. The season ended in March with a final on Studenternas IP like the Super Bowl.

Svenska Cupen ended with the final played at the national stadium Friends Arena on 26 May. Allsvenskan ended on 3 November, Superettan one day earlier on 2 November, Division 1 and lower men's leagues on 26 October and Damallsvenskan on 20 October. Qualification play-offs were held after the end of league play with the Allsvenskan play-offs being held on 7 and 10 November and the Superettan play-offs being held on 6 and 9 November. Svenska Supercupen was held on 10 November and was contested by the winner of Allsvenskan and Svenska Cupen. Sweden participated in qualification for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Sweden also hosted UEFA Women's Euro 2013 between 10 and 28 July.
Marcus Andreas Danielson is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a defender for Allsvenskan club Djurgårdens IF. A full international between 2019 and 2022, he won 19 caps for the Sweden national team and represented his country at UEFA Euro 2020.

The 2016–17 Elitserien was the tenth season of the present highest Swedish men's bandy top division, Elitserien. The regular season began on 21 October 2016, and the final was played at Tele2 Arena in Stockholm on 25 March 2017. Edsbyns IF won the Swedish national championship title by defeating Bollnäs GIF, 3–1, in the final game, thereby securing Edsbyn's tenth championship title, making the club alone the third most successful Swedish bandy club so far.
Västerås SK BK Dam is the women's bandy side of the Swedish sports club Västerås SK, located in Västerås. The senior side currently plays in the Swedish Allsvenskan, the top-tier league of Swedish women's bandy, and has done so for a number of years. The club was the runner-up for the Swedish Championship in 2017.
The 2019–20 Svenska Cupen was the 64th season of the Svenska Cupen and the eighth season with the current format. The eventual champions, IFK Göteborg, secured a place in the second qualifying round of the 2020–21 UEFA Europa League. A total of 96 clubs entered the competition, 64 teams from district sites and 32 from the Allsvenskan and the Superettan.
