The JMA Wireless Dome, originally the Carrier Dome (1980–2022) and colloquially called "The Dome," or more recently "The JMA Dome," is a domed stadium in Syracuse, New York, United States. Located on the campus of Syracuse University in the University Hill neighborhood, it is home to the Syracuse Orange football, basketball, and lacrosse teams. In 2006–07, the women's basketball team began playing home games in the Carrier Dome. In May 2022, Syracuse University announced in April 2022 that Carrier Global Corp. would no longer hold naming rights to the venue. When Syracuse University and JMA Wireless announced the new naming rights in May 2022, it marked the first time the venue's name would change since the opening in 1980.

The Syracuse Orange are the athletic teams that represent Syracuse University. The school is a member of NCAA Division I and the Atlantic Coast Conference. Until 2013, Syracuse was a member of the Big East Conference.

James Arthur Boeheim Jr. is an American former college basketball coach and current Special Assistant to the Athletic Director at Syracuse University. From 1976 until 2023, he was the head coach of the Syracuse Orange men's team of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Boeheim guided the Orange to ten Big East Conference regular season championships, five Big East tournament championships, and 34 NCAA tournament appearances, including five Final Four appearances and three appearances in the national title game. In those games, the Orangemen lost to Indiana in 1987, and to Kentucky in 1996, before defeating Kansas in 2003 with All-American Carmelo Anthony.

The Syracuse Orange football team represents Syracuse University in the sport of American football. The Syracuse Orange women's soccer team represents Syracuse University in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) of NCAA Division I women's college soccer. The team has never won a conference championship. The Orange have played in both the ACC and Big East. The team has advanced to the NCAA Women's soccer tournament twice. In both appearances, the Orange won their first-round game, but fell in the second round.

Kayla Treanor is an American women’s lacrosse coach for the Syracuse University Women's Lacrosse team. Prior to this position, she was an assistant coach for Harvard and Boston College.

Shannon Doepking is an American, former collegiate right-handed softball catcher and current head coach at Syracuse. She played her college softball at Tennessee, helping them to a runner up finish at the 2007 Women's College World Series.

The 2019 Syracuse Orange men's soccer team represented Syracuse University during the 2019 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. It was the program's 96th season and 7th in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Orange were led by Ian McIntyre, is in his tenth year.

Eujenna "Jenna" Afrodite Caira is a Canadian, former collegiate All-American, medal-winning Olympian, professional softball pitcher for the Canadian Wild of the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF). Caira was a starting pitcher for the Syracuse Orange from 2009–12 and holds the career records in wins, shutouts and innings pitched. Additionally, she is the Big East Conference career leader in strikeouts. She has been a member of the Canada women's national softball team since June 2009 and helped them win a bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

The 2021–22 Syracuse Orange women's basketball team represented Syracuse University during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Orange were led by interim head coach Vonn Read. The Orange are ninth year members of the Atlantic Coast Conference and played their home games at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York.

Kathryn Rowan Thomson is an American professional lacrosse player who currently coaches the Albany Great Danes women's lacrosse, a position she has held since June 2018. She played college lacrosse at Syracuse.
