The Standard and Poor's 500, or simply the S&P 500, is a stock market index tracking the stock performance of 500 of the largest companies listed on stock exchanges in the United States. It is one of the most commonly followed equity indices and includes approximately 80% of the total market capitalization of U.S. public companies, with an aggregate market cap of more than $43 trillion as of January 2024.
The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, colloquially known as The Bursa, is the only public stock exchange in Israel and a public company itself, listed on its own exchange since August 1, 2019. It is regulated by the Securities Law (1968) and is under the direct supervision of the Israel Securities Authority (ISA).
The IBEX 35 is the benchmark stock market index of the Bolsa de Madrid, Spain's principal stock exchange. The Russell 2000 Index is a small-cap U.S. stock market index that makes up the smallest 2,000 stocks in the Russell Index. It was started by the Frank Russell Company in 1984. The index is maintained by FTSE Russell, a subsidiary of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).
Russell indexes are a family of global stock market indices from FTSE Russell that allow investors to track the performance of distinct market segments worldwide. Many investors use mutual funds or exchange-traded funds based on the FTSE Russell Indexes as a way of gaining exposure to certain portions of the U.S. stock market. Additionally, many investment managers use the Russell Indexes as benchmarks to measure their own performance. Russell's index design has led to more assets benchmarked to its U.S. index family than all other U.S. equity indexes combined.
The PSE Composite Index, or the PSEi, is a stock market index of the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) always consisting of 30 of the largest companies traded on the stock exchange. This is in contrast to the PSE All Shares Index which is an index of all stocks traded on the PSE.
Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) is a stock exchange based in Jakarta, Indonesia. It was previously known as the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) before its name changed in 2007 after merging with the Surabaya Stock Exchange (SSX). In recent years, the Indonesian Stock Exchange has seen the fastest membership growth in Asia. As of January 2024, the Indonesia Stock Exchange had 903 listed companies, and total stock investors were about 6.4 million, compared to 2.5 million at the end of 2019. Indonesia Market Capitalization accounted for 45.2% of its nominal GDP in December 2020. Founded on 30 November 2007, it is ASEAN's largest market capitalization at US$744 billion as of 15 December 2023.
A capitalization-weightedindex, also called a market-value-weighted index is a stock market index whose components are weighted according to the total market value of their outstanding shares. Every day an individual stock's price changes and thereby changes a stock index's value. The impact that individual stock's price change has on the index is proportional to the company's overall market value, in a capitalization-weighted index. In other types of indices, different ratios are used.
Africa Israel Investments Ltd. is an international holding and investment company based in Yehud, Israel. The group consists of several private and public companies active in areas such as real estate, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, tourism and leisure. The company’s shares are traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and are a constitute of the TA-35 Index. The company became the subject of newspaper coverage in 2008, for its association with the construction of Israeli settlements on the West Bank.
Delek Group is an Israeli holding conglomerate mainly operating in the petroleum industry. The TA BlueTech Index is a stock market index all capitalised information technology and biotechnology companies listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE). The index was launched on 3 April 2011 as the TA BlueTech-50 Index and replaced by the Tel-Tech Index and the Tel-Tech 15 Index. In June 2014, as a result of changes in the criteria required for companies to be listed in the Index, its name was changed to "TA BlueTech Index".
Mivtach Shamir Holdings is an Israeli investment company led by investor Meir Shamir. The company specialises in three investment sectors: technology and communications, industrial investments and real estate. Shares of Mivtach Shamir are traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) as MISH.
NewMed Energy (TASE: NWMD), formerly Delek Drilling, is an Israeli energy Oil & Gas partnership in the exploration, development, and production of Natural Gas and Oil. Delek group owned by Yitzhak Tshuva, is the controlling shareholder of the partnership. The partnership is traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and is part of the TA 35 Index.
