National Pingtung University of Science and Technology is a leading public university in Neipu Township, Pingtung County, Taiwan. NPUST occupies the largest unified campus grounds in all of Taiwan. The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA) is a public research institute in Hong Kong. It was established in April 2006 and hosted by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Peter Tsai is a Taiwanese American material scientist and inventor who is best known for inventing and patenting the N95 mask filter. He is an expert in the field of nonwoven fabric. Tsai was a Professor Emeritus at the University of Tennessee, but ended his retirement during the COVID-19 pandemic to research N95 mask sterilization.
Aquaculture has a long history in Taiwan and is an important component of the Maritime industries of Taiwan.
