Televicentro or TVC is a television corporation in Honduras, which as of 2004, is owned by Rafael Ferrari. [1]

Televicentro was founded in 1987 with the aim of merging Canal 5, Canal 3/7 and Telecadena 7/4 under an umbrella organization, aiming at improving the coverage of the stations and creating relayers for them. [2]

Banana Wars Actions involving the United States in Central America and the Caribbean

The Banana Wars were a series of conflicts that consisted of military occupation, police action, and intervention by the United States in Central America and the Caribbean between the end of the Spanish–American War in 1898 to the inception of the Good Neighbor Policy in 1934. The military interventions were primarily carried out by the United States Marine Corps, who also developed a manual, the Small Wars Manual (1921) based on their experiences. 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup International football competition

The 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the tenth edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup competition, and the twentieth soccer championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF). It was played from July 3 to 26, 2009 in the United States. This competition was the fourth tournament without guests from other confederations. Mexico won their fifth Gold Cup, and eighth CONCACAF Championship overall, after beating the United States 5–0 in the final. It was the second consecutive Gold Cup final and fourth overall to feature Mexico and the United States and the third won by Mexico.

2009 Viña del Mar International Song Festival Award

The 2009 Viña del Mar International Song Festival was held from Monday 23 February until Saturday 28 February. This festival was the number 50, and had a special award for the 50 years, the "Gold Song", elected between the winner songs from 2001 to 2008 versions of Festival. Finally, "Gold song" in the folk contest was "Cuecas Al Sol", and in the international contest was "Ayer te vi".

Jorge Alberto "Georgino" Orellana was a Honduran journalist, television producer and presenter for Televisión de Honduras, a private television station. Orellana was shot and killed on April 20, 2010, becoming the sixth Honduran journalist to be killed in the country since March 1, 2010.

Yadira Esperanza Bendaña Flores is a Honduran journalist and politician. She currently serves as deputy of the National Congress of Honduras representing the Liberal Party of Honduras for Francisco Morazán.

Salvador Nasralla First Vice President-elect of Honduras

Salvador Alejandro César Nasralla Salum is a Honduran sports journalist, television presenter, master of ceremonies, businessman, and politician who is currently the First Vice President-elect of Honduras. He is the presenter of the TV programs 5 Deportivo and X-0 da Dinero, and has been called "El señor de la televisión". He was the founder of the Anti-Corruption Party in 2011 when he stood for president in the 2013 Honduran general election. He stood again in the 2017 Honduran general election for the political alliance Alianza de Oposición contra la Dictadura, made up of Liberty and Refoundation and the Innovation and Unity Party. He lost the election, but the Organization of American States called for a new vote amidst widespread irregularities.

Raggs is a live action and animated musical preschool television series originally produced in Sydney, Australia, with additional U.S. production in English and Spanish. "Raggs"’ episode library includes 195 finished half hour episodes and 200 original songs in multiple languages. The musical and educational series is based on the original characters created by Toni Steedman, a Charlotte, NC, advertising executive, for her then six‐year‐old daughter Alison. It was broadcast in the US on 4 February 2008 on PBS Kids, after its initial run in Australia. In 2014, The Raggs Band reunited to record 20 classic kids songs to accompany new "Raggs" animation to be included in the show and distributed on the "Raggs" YouTube channel, RaggsTV.

Juana la Iguana is a fictional character, originally from the Spanish-language children's television series of the same name, which debuted in 1996 on home video. The Juana la Iguana TV show later aired on the following networks: Venevision (Venezuela), Televicentro, Televisa (Mexico), Televicentro (Honduras) Canal 5, Telemundo (US), Ecuavisa (Ecuador), Red Uno de Bolivia, and Canal 13 (Colombia).
