Terry PoindexterGautreaux was a former US Olympian who competed in taekwondo.

Poindexter started competing in 1987 [1] and won gold in the Student World Championships. [2] She competed in the 1992 Olympic Games earning a bronze medal in the 132 lbs division. [3]

She married her instructor Oren Gautreaux. [4] She was reported as being from both Iowa [5] and Independence, Missouri. [6]

Daba Modibo Keïta is a Malian taekwondo athlete. Keïta has competed in international competitions since 1996, and in 2007 became the heavyweight (+84 kg) division 2007 World Taekwondo Champion in Beijing, and competed in both the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics in the +80 kg class.

Elaine Teo Shueh Fhern is a Malaysian Taekwondo exponent. She is a holder of a 4th dan Taekwondo Black Belt from Korea and 5th dan Malaysia. She has represented Malaysia from 1999-2011 in various international tournaments. Her experience as a professional Taekwondo exponent has placed her on the pedestal of honour nationally and internationally. One of her most memorable experience was being the first Taekwondo exponent in Malaysia to qualify twice for the Olympic Games.

Kim Un-yong South Korean sport administrator

Kim Un-yong or Un Yong Kim was a South Korean sports administrator, Vice-President of the International Olympic Committee, and founding member of the WTF executive board. Kim Un-yong was elected the president of the Korean Taekwondo Association on 23 January 1971. He received a doctorate in Political Science in 1963 from the Yonsei University. Kim retired from the WTF presidency in 2004 and was succeeded by Chungwon Choue.

Jay Warwick is a former United States Olympian in taekwondo. Warwick won bronze medals in the 1988 Seoul Olympics and 1987 Barcelona World Championships, gold at the 1986 Pan Am Championships and silver in 1982, bronze at the 1987 Pan Am Games and 8 national titles. In 1999, he became executive director of the United States Taekwondo Union then Director of Sport Partnerships with the United States Olympic Committee in 2003 and in 2018 became Secretary General of USA Taekwondo. Outside sports, he had a long career as a restaurateur.

Diane Murray is a former US Olympian, competing in taekwondo. Murray earned a silver medal in the 1992 Olympic Games and a bronze medal at the 1993 World Taekwondo Championships in the bantamweight division. In 1992, at the age of 39, she was inducted into the Black Belt magazine Hall of Fame.

Kim Dotson is a former national level competitor in taekwondo from Cleveland, Ohio, United States. Kim would win the 1985 World Cup. Kim would win gold at the 1986 PanAmerican Championships. Kim would compete in the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games. and would win Silver at both the 1987 and 1989 World Taekwondo Championships. Kim would serve as a coach for several women in taekwondo.

Danielle Laney is a former Olympic Level Competitor in Taekwondo. Danielle is from Jenks, Oklahoma She competed in the women's welterweight division. She would win the Olympic trials by going undefeated, beating Arlene Limas. At the 1992 Olympics she would win a bronze. Her brother Brian Laney was also a member of the National Team.

Brenda Sell American taekwondo practitioner

Brenda J. Sell is an American martial arts instructor, and the highest ranking non-Korean female practitioner of taekwondo, according to the Kukkiwon, an international ranking body within Taekwondo. She holds the rank of 9th degree black belt in the art.

Marta Calvo Gómez is a Spanish taekwondo practitioner who competes in the 62 kg division. She won the silver medal at the 2015 World Taekwondo Championships on the women's lightweight category and later became the vice champion of Europe after she won the silver medal at the 2018 European Taekwondo Championships also in the 62 kg (lightweight) category. Her sister, Eva Calvo, is also a taekwondo competitor who won a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Elena Benítez is a Spanish taekwondo practitioner. She was born in Málaga. She competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. She won a gold medal in welterweight at the 1999 World Taekwondo Championships, by defeating by Mirjam Müskens in the final. Her achievements at the European Taekwondo Championships include bronze medals in 1986 and 1990, a silver medal in 1994, gold medals in 1996 and 1998, and a silver medal in 2000.
