The Apprentice Africa is an African version of the original American Reality TV format, The Apprentice, hosted by Donald Trump. The show was hosted by Mr. Biodun Shobanjo, an advertising magnate, co-founder of Insight Communications and CEO of Troyka Group. It gathered 18 contestants from across six African countries: Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Cameroon and Guinea. The show was aired in Nigeria on (Nigerian Television Authority), Silverbird TV, Super Screen, and MBI Television; Ghana on (TV3); Kenya on (KTN); Uganda on (WBS); and Tanzania (TBC1); premiered in February 2008 and ended in June 2008. The premier edition, shot in the Nigerian commercial capital Lagos, had eighteen episodes where contestants competed in seventeen business tasks requiring street smarts and corporate intelligence to conquer. Contestants were arranged into two groups and in each episode, the winning team was rewarded while the losing team meet the CEO and his associates in the boardroom to explain why they lost. The Project Manager for that task would choose two teammates perceived to be the reason for the lost or the weakest link in the team, one of whom would then be fired.

Isaac Dankyi-Koranteng, a 31-year-old Sales and Marketing Manager from Ghana, won the first season. He was hired by Biodun Shobanjo. As a reward, the winner was offered a brand new car and an annual salary of $200,000. [3]

The show was sponsored by Bank PHB and the bank's communications officials, Charles Odibo and Aziza Uko, served as executive producers of the television show. [4]

Isaac Dankyi-Koranteng Isaac Dankyi-Koranteng is the first African to be hired on the African version of The Apprentice, a television reality show hosted by Biodun Shobanjo called The Apprentice Africa. Dankyi-Koranteng was hired on television during the premier season finale of The Apprentice Africa in Nigeria on, Silverbird TV, Super Screen, and MBI Television; Ghana on (TV3); Kenya on (KTN); Uganda on (WBS); and Tanzania (TBC1). Until he was hired, Dankyi-Koranteng was the Customer Account Manager for Chinese Telecom giants Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. in Ghana. During the season, Dankyi-Koranteng was Project Manager on four occasions winning three. He was never taken to the boardroom by any other Project Manager as the weakest link throughout the season.

The Apprentice New Zealand was a New Zealand reality television series that aired on TV2 16 February to 11 May 2010. It features Terry Serepisos, Wellington based multi-millionaire property developer, as the chief executive officer (CEO). The series' winner, Thomas Ben, received a $200,000 package consisting of a $100,000 salary, A BMW and accommodation. Thomas began work at Serepisos' property development company Century City in July 2010. The series returned in 2021, under the title The Apprentice Aotearoa.

The Apprentice 10 is the tenth and final original format installment of the United States version of international franchise and reality game series The Apprentice. For this particular season, the show departed from The Celebrity Apprentice and returned to its precursor, featuring unknowns as apprentices instead of celebrities. Not since season six, during the 2006–07 television season, did the show use this format. The theme of the season is "second chance" and the contestants are those affected by the Great Recession.

<i>The Apprentice</i> (British TV series) series 15 15th series of a British reality television series

The fifteenth series of British reality television series The Apprentice (UK) was broadcast in the UK on BBC One, from 2 October to 18 December 2019. As with the previous series, the first task was conducted abroad, with the candidates travelling further afield than had been previously staged in the programme's history of business-related tasks held in other countries. In addition, the sister programme The Apprentice - You're Fired saw a change in the host before the series broadcast, with comedian Tom Allen overseeing interviews with candidates after their final appearance within this series. Alongside the standard twelve episodes, the series was preceded by the mini online episode "Meet the Candidates" on 24 September, with two specials aired alongside the series – "The Final Five" on 10 December, and "Why I Fired Them" on 18 December.
