The Devil You Know is the 12th studio album from L.A. Guns. The album was produced by Tracii Guns and released by Frontiers Records on March 29, 2019. [1]

Background

Tracii Guns stated that after the success of the previous album The Missing Peace they decided to continue with the same metal sound, saying that he drew influence from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, while also sticking to the band's roots and influences from the 1960s and 1970s. [3] This was the band's first studio album to feature Ace Von Johnson on rhythm guitar and backing vocals. [4]

Chart performance

"The Devil You Know" reached No. 38 on the Billboard Current Album Sales Chart, [5] No. 45 on the Billboard Album Sales Chart, [6] and No. 10 on the Billboard Independent Album Sales Chart. [7] Neither of the two singles, "Rage" and "Stay Away", released from the album charted.

Faster Pussycat is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1985 by vocalist Taime Downe, guitarists Brent Muscat and Greg Steele and bassist Kelly Nickels. L.A. Guns American glam metal band

L.A. Guns are an American glam metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1983. The lineup currently consists of Tracii Guns, Phil Lewis, Ace Von Johnson, Johnny Martin and Scot Coogan (drums). The first incarnation of the group was formed by Tracii Guns and Rob Gardner in 1983 and merged with fellow Los Angeles group, Hollywood Rose, to form Guns N' Roses in March 1985. After only a brief tenure in that band, Guns reformed L.A. Guns with a new lineup, consisting of Paul Black, Mick Cripps, Robert Stoddard, and Nickey Alexander. Black would soon be replaced by former Girl singer Phil Lewis while former Faster Pussycat bassist Kelly Nickels was added to the group. Later, Alexander would be replaced by former W.A.S.P. drummer Steve Riley with this being known as the "classic lineup" of L.A. Guns. They achieved moderate chart success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. However, the group went through numerous lineup changes and failed to regain mainstream attention.

After some early lineup changes, the group – consisting of vocalist Phil Lewis, lead guitarist Tracii Guns, rhythm guitarist Mick Cripps, bassist Kelly Nickels and drummer Nickey Alexander – signed with PolyGram and released its self-titled debut album in 1988. Lovebites (band) Japanese all-female heavy metal band

Lovebites is a Japanese all-female heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by former Destrose members Miho and Haruna. Its lineup currently consists of Haruna on drums, Midori and Miyako on guitar, and Asami on vocals. After signing to Victor Entertainment, the group released both their debut EP and their first album, The Lovebites EP and Awakening from Abyss, in 2017 before performing their first overseas concerts at the end of the year. With another EP and album released in 2018, Battle Against Damnation and Clockwork Immortality, Lovebites quickly garnered international attention and won that year's Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best New Band. They released their third album, Electric Pentagram, in 2020, and it reached number 9 on the Oricon chart, becoming their highest-charting to date. After releasing the EP Glory, Glory, to the World in March 2021, bassist Miho left the band in August and Lovebites began a temporary hiatus.

Official Hige Dandism, commonly abbreviated Higedan (ヒゲダン), is a Japanese pop band formed in Shimane, Japan in 2012 by Satoshi Fujihara, Daisuke Ozasa, Makoto Narazaki and Masaki Matsuura . 'Hige' translates to moustache, and Dandism is Manly, of man. So in English roughly translates to 'Manly Moustache'.
