The Gambia National Olympic Committee (IOC code: GAM) is the National Olympic Committee representing the Gambia. It is also the body responsible for the Gambia's representation at the Olympic Games.

The Gambia sent a delegation to compete at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia from 15 September to 1 October 2000. This was the African nation's fifth time competing at a Summer Olympic Games. The Gambian delegation consisted of two track and field athletes, Pa Mamadou Gai and Adama Njie. Neither advanced beyond the first round heats of their events.

Adama Njie is a retired Gambian middle-distance runner who specialised in the 800 metres. She represented her country in three Olympic Games and one Commonwealth Games, and was the flag-bearer for the Gambia at the 2000 Summer Olympics.

The Gambia at the 2012 Summer Olympics Sporting event delegation

The Gambia competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, which was held from 27 July to 12 August 2012. The country's participation at London marked its eighth appearance in the Summer Olympics since its début at the 1984 Summer Olympics. The delegation included two athletes, Suwaibou Sanneh and Saruba Colley, the former had qualified by setting a qualifying time that fell within the required standard and the latter entered via a wildcard place. Sanneh was selected as the flag bearer for both the opening and closing ceremonies. Sanneh became the first Gambian athlete to advance into the semi-finals of the men's 100 metres, while Colley was eliminated after the quarter-final stages of the Women's 100 metres.

Stephen Jenness is a New Zealand field hockey player. At the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics, he competed for the national team in the men's tournament.

The Gambia made its Paralympic Games début at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, sending two wheelchair athletes to compete in track events. The country was initially due to send two athletes to the 2008 Summer Games, but withdrew before the Games began.

The Gambia sent a delegation to compete at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7–18 September 2016. This was the nation's second appearance at a Paralympics, following their first participation in the 2012 London Paralympics. The Gambia sent one athlete, Demba Jarju, who failed to advance from his heat in the men's 100 meters T54 event.

The Gambia competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the nation's tenth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics since its debut at the 1984 Summer Olympics.

The Gambia will compete at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England between 28 July and 8 August 2022. It will be The Gambia's twelfth appearance at the Games.
