Leiden University Libraries is a library founded in 1575 in Leiden, Netherlands. It is regarded as a significant place in the development of European culture: it is a part of a small number of cultural centres that gave direction to the development and spread of knowledge during the Enlightenment. This was due particularly to the simultaneous presence of a unique collection of exceptional sources and scholars. Holdings include approximately 5,200,000 volumes, 1,000,000 e-books, 70,000 e-journals, 2,000 current paper journals, 60,000 Oriental and Western manuscripts, 500,000 letters, 100,000 maps, 100,000 prints, 12,000 drawings and 300,000 photographs. The library manages the largest collections worldwide on Indonesia and the Caribbean. Furthermore, Leiden University Libraries is the only heritage organization in The Netherlands with five registrations of documents in UNESCO's Memory of the World Register.

The Theological University of Apeldoorn (TUA) is the Dutch theological university of the Christian Reformed Churches. More than 130 students study at the university in Apeldoorn. The theological course lasts six years. The student is in the bachelor's program for the first three years. This has a more orientating character, and includes the languages Classic Greek and Koine Greek, Latin and Biblical Hebrew. In the three-year master's program that follows, further studies and specialization are discussed. The training is specifically aimed at educating pastors. Furthermore, one tries to keep together the reformed character of the faith and the church and the scientific level of the university. The syllabus consists of subjects such as ethics, apologetics, Old and New Testament, canonical studies, dogmatics, church history, church law and civil subjects.
Irene J. F. de Jong is a classicist and professor of Ancient Greek at the University of Amsterdam. She is known for her pioneering work on narratology and Ancient Greek literature. She is a Fellow of the British Academy.
Egbert Torenbeek is a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Aerodynamics, Wind Energy, Flight Performance & Propulsion (AWEP) at Delft University of Technology. He is known for his contributions to Aircraft Design, especially with his book "Synthesis of Subsonic Airplane Design" published in 1976. This standard work was also translated into Russian and Chinese. Professor Torenbeek received the 58th Ludwig Prandtl Ring (2016) "in recognition of his outstanding scientific achievements in the field of aircraft design in teaching, research and application" from the German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics.
Christine L. Mummery (1953) is an appointed professor of Developmental Biology at Leiden University and the head of the Department of Anatomy and Embryology at Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands.
Journal of the Philosophy of History (JPH) is a peer-reviewed academic philosophy journal focusing on the philosophy of history and historical theory published three times a year, by Brill Publishers. Dr. Rajat Subhra Hazra is an Indian mathematician specialising in probability theory. He was awarded the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, the highest science award in India, for the year 2020 in mathematical science category. He is affiliated to the Mathematical Institute of Leiden University, the Netherlands from 2021. Prior to that he was affiliated to Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. Dr. Hazra has a very broad range of research interests including extreme value theory, regular variation, random matrices, free probability, Gaussian free fields, branching random walks, membrane models, random graphs, etc.
Johan Rooryck is a Belgian linguist and a visiting professor at Leiden University where he was Professor of French Linguistics between 1993 and 2020. He is the editor-in-chief of the journal Glossa and the former executive editor of Lingua (1999-2015). Rooryck is known for his works on generative grammar. He is the executive director of cOAlition S and is a recipient of Distinguished Lorentz Fellowship (2011/2012).
