Throne Room is the sixth studio album by American gospel artist CeCe Winans. It was released by Puresprings Gospel and Epic Records on September 9, 2003 in the United States. "Hallelujah Praise" was the only single spawned from the release. After the release of the album, Winans embarked on a 25-city tour with Anointed that had no admission fees.
Winans had talked of a follow-up album to Alabaster Box but delayed in releasing it, upon finally recording the album, Winans stated: [1]
Worship is probably my favorite kind of music. For some time, I’ve really felt like God was telling me to record a very special project that would encourage people to worship. As I was completing the new record deal with Epic, I told them, ‘I’ve got to do this worship album before I can do anything else.’ It may make no natural sense to do this record right now in my career, but for the past two years I have had confirmation after confirmation that this is absolutely the right time. I know it’s all in God’s timing, and it’s what He wants me to do right now. If you are a worshipper this project will take you there, and if you’re not it will certainly give you peace.

Take 6 is an American a cappella gospel sextet formed in 1980 on the campus of Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama. The group integrates jazz with spiritual and inspirational lyrics. Take 6 has received Grammy Awards as well as Dove Awards, a Soul Train Award and nominations for the NAACP Image Award. The band has worked with Ray Charles, Nnenna Freelon, Gordon Goodwin, Don Henley, Whitney Houston, Al Jarreau, Quincy Jones, k.d. lang, Queen Latifah, The Manhattan Transfer, Johnny Mathis, Brian McKnight, Luis Miguel, Marcus Miller, Joe Sample, Ben Tankard, CeCe Winans, Stevie Wonder and Jacob Collier. All original members grew up in the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Alabaster Box is the 1999 album by award-winning gospel artist CeCe Winans. This was the first album on Winans' own label, Wellspring Gospel. Winans described the album as an "experimental" album for the label before any new artists were signed. The album did very well on the charts and included a duet with Take 6. In comparison to Winans' past albums, this one takes more of a worship flair with a few R&B tracks. Gospel artist Fred Hammond also took a production turn on the album.
