Throwback, Vol. 1 is the seventh studio album by American R&B group Boyz II Men, released by Koch Records, and featuring covers of classic R&B songs (hence the album title) from such artists as Teddy Pendergrass, The Isley Brothers and Michael Jackson. The album was their first as a trio, after founding member Michael McCary left the group due to chronic back problems.

Contents

A rendition of Grandfather's Clock was included on the Taiwanese release as a bonus track.

It has been confirmed by one of the group members that a second CD will not be a part of The Throwback project. A Classic's CD was planned to be released later, potentially sometime in late 2007; this was later confirmed to be the Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA album, released in 2007.

The genre also gained popularity from artists who heavily utilized Riley's production and songwriting distinction, namely Michael Jackson, Bobby Brown, Heavy D & the Boyz, Keith Sweat, Hi-Five, and the Jackson 5, among others.

Theodore DeReese Pendergrass was an American soul and R&B singer-songwriter. He was born in Kingstree, South Carolina. Pendergrass lived most of his life in the Philadelphia area, and initially rose to musical fame as the lead singer of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes. After leaving the group in 1976, Pendergrass launched a successful solo career under the Philadelphia International label, releasing five consecutive platinum albums. Pendergrass's career was suspended after a March 1982 car crash left him paralyzed from the waist down. Pendergrass continued his successful solo career until announcing his retirement in 2007. He died from respiratory failure in January 2010.

Blackstreet is the debut studio album from American R&B group Blackstreet, released in 1994 on Interscope Records. The group was formed by Riley with Chauncey Hannibal after the dissolution of Teddy Riley's former group Guy. The other members of Blackstreet - Joseph Stonestreet and Levi Little - were session singers alongside Hannibal on Bobby Brown's third album Bobby, an album that was mostly produced by Riley. They recorded one song for the soundtrack of the Chris Rock film CB4 called "Baby Be Mine". Before they could record an album, Stonestreet left the group and was replaced by former Force One Network singer Dave Hollister. When they re-recorded "Baby Be Mine" for their self-titled debut, Hollister's vocals were added on the album version of the song.

Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA is the tenth studio album by Boyz II Men. It was released on November 13, 2007 by Decca Records. The album was produced by American Idol's Randy Jackson and Boyz II Men. David Simone and Winston Simone were Executive Producers for the album. The album is a tribute to some of Motown's classic songs, including "Just My Imagination" by The Temptations, "The Tracks of My Tears" by The Miracles and "Reach Out I'll Be There" by The Four Tops. The first single off the album is "The Tracks of My Tears".

The album is composed of popular love songs of the past. It also features a collaboration with Michael Bublé. Twenty is the thirteenth studio album by American R&B group Boyz II Men. The album was released in the United States on October 25, 2011. The first single was "More Than You'll Ever Know" featuring Charlie Wilson. As of September 2011, the single was the most added song to radio sets on urban adult contemporary radio stations. The album featured 13 new material songs and nine rerecorded Boyz II Men classics. It was produced Tim & Bob, Babyface, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and Teddy Riley. The album debuted at number 20 on the Billboard 200, selling 18,400 copies in its first week.

"Let It Snow" is a song co-produced and performed by American contemporary R&B group Boyz II Men, featuring vocals from fellow American contemporary R&B singer Brian McKnight. The song was issued as the only official single from the group's holiday album Christmas Interpretations. Written by McKnight and Boyz II Men member Wanya Morris, it peaked at number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1993. It is a prequel to the song entitled "Let It Snow '98" by McKnight and themselves, from McKnight's first Christmas album Bethlehem, which was released five years later.

T.K.O. is the eighth studio album by American singer-songwriter Mya. It is the follow-up to her album Smoove Jones (2016) and was released April 20, 2018, on her label Planet 9 to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of her debut album Mya (1998). Recorded between 2015–2016, T.K.O. is solely produced in its entirely by musician and producer Lamar "MyGuyMars" Edwards with additional production from Los Da Mystro, Lyle LeDuff, Hardwerk and Khirye Tyler.
