The University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine—known as the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA (DGSOM)—is an accredited medical school located in Los Angeles, California, United States. The school was renamed in 2001 in honor of media mogul David Geffen who donated $200 million in unrestricted funds. Founded in 1951, it is the second medical school in the University of California system, after the UCSF School of Medicine.

Daniel H. He is currently a Professor and Vice Chair of Research for the Department of Pathology and Institute Scholar of ChEM-H, Stanford University. Mischel was elected into the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI), serving as ASCI president in 2010/11. He was inducted into the Association of American Physicians, and was elected as a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

He is the director of Neuro-oncology at Nationwide Children's Hospital, where he also serves as the Elizabeth and Richard Germain Endowed Chair in Pediatric Cancer. He also is professor of pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
Linda M. Liau is an American neurosurgeon, neuroscientist, and the W. Eugene Stern Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Liau was elected to the Society of Neurological Surgeons in 2013 and the National Academy of Medicine in 2018. She has published over 170 research articles and a textbook, Brain Tumor Immunotherapy. She served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Neuro-Oncology from 2007 to 2017.

Patricia Anne Ganz is an American medical oncologist. She is a professor of health policy and management in the Fielding School of Public Health and a professor of medicine in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. In 2007, she was elected to the Institute of Medicine.
Beth Young Karlan is an American gynecologic oncologist. In 2008, she was named editor-in-chief of the medical journals Gynecologic Oncology and Gynecologic Oncology Reports. Gaynor was President of R&D at Neon Therapeutics from 2016 to 2020, when he became the President of BioNTech US, both pharmaceutical companies headquartered in Cambridge, MA. His honors include being elected a member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation, and the Association of American Physicians.
Michael Albert Thomas is an Indian-American physicist, academic, and clinical researcher. He is a Professor-in-Residence of Radiological Sciences, and Psychiatry at the Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is most known for developing novel single voxel based 2D NMR techniques, multi-voxel 2D MRS techniques using hybrid Cartesian as well as non-Cartesian spatio-temporal encoding such as concentric ring, radial and rosette trajectories.
