Geert Wilders Dutch politician

Geert Wilders is a Dutch businessman and politician. He has been Leader of the Party for Freedom since he founded it in 2006. Wilders is the parliamentary leader of his party in the House of Representatives. In the 2010 formation of the Rutte cabinet, a minority cabinet of VVD and CDA, he actively participated in the negotiations, resulting in a "tolerance agreement" (gedoogakkoord) between the PVV and these parties, but withdrew his support in April 2012, citing disagreements with the cabinet on proposed budget cuts. Wilders is best known for his criticism of Islam and the EU; his views have made him a controversial figure in the Netherlands and abroad, and since 2004 he has been protected at all times by armed bodyguards.

Indo-Surinamese or Indian-Surinamese, are nationals of Suriname with ancestry from the Indian subcontinent. Their ancestors were Indian indentured workers brought by the Dutch and the British to the (then) Dutch colony Suriname during the 19th and 20th century. As a member of the Party for Freedom (PVV) he was a member of the Senate as well as Senate group leader from 7 June 2011 to 20 September 2012. He has been an MP since 20 September 2012. He has already been a PVV member of the municipal council of The Hague since 11 March 2010 as well as fraction leader since 20 January 2011.

Michiel Pieter Maria Holtackers is a former Dutch politician and police officer as well as trade union leader. As a member of the Christian Democratic Appeal he was an MP from 30 June 2011 to 19 September 2012, succeeding Gerda Verburg. He focused on matters of spatial planning, water management and Defense personnel.

She did not seek reelection in the 2017 election.

Aukje de Vries is a Dutch politician. As a member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy she has been an MP since 8 November 2012. She was also member of the provincial parliament of Friesland from 11 March 2011 until November 2012. Previously she was a member of the municipal council of Leeuwarden from 2002 to 2011.

Gabriëlle Popken is a Dutch former politician for the Party for Freedom. She served in the Senate between 2011 and 2017 and subsequently in the House of Representatives between 2017 and 2020.
