Terrell H. "Tonka" Hemingway (born October 31, 2001) is an American football defensive tackle for the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Hemingway grew up in Conway, South Carolina and attended Conway High School, where he lettered in football, basketball and baseball. [1] In his senior season, Hemingway notched 92 tackles with 24 being for a loss. [2] Coming out of high school, Hemingway decided to commit to play college football for the South Carolina Gamecocks. [3] [4]
During the 2020 season, Hemingway tallied 16 tackles with one being for a loss, two pass deflections, and a forced fumble. [5] In the 2021 season, Hemingway played in six games where he had six tackles. [6] During the 2022 season, Hemingway tallied 33 tackles with eight being for a loss, four sacks, a pass deflection, and two fumble recoveries. [7] In week twelve of the 2023 season, Hemingway had the game-winning fumble recovery, as he helped South Carolina beat Kentucky. [8] Hemingway finished the 2023 season making 32 tackles with four and a half being for a loss, a sack and a half, seven pass deflections, and two fumble recoveries. [9]
Hemingway is the younger brother of former NFL wide receiver, Junior Hemingway. [10] [11]
Julius Frazier Peppers is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end and linebacker in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the North Carolina Tar Heels, where he was recognized as a unanimous All-American, and was selected by the Carolina Panthers second overall in the 2002 NFL draft, and also played for the Chicago Bears from 2010 through 2013 and the Green Bay Packers from 2014 to 2016. After rejoining the Panthers for the 2017 season, he retired after the 2018 NFL season.
Shaun Michael Cody is a former American football nose tackle. He played college football for the University of Southern California (USC), and was recognized as a consensus All-American. The Detroit Lions chose him in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He is currently a commentator for the USC football team.
Captain Lesean Munnerlyn is a former American football cornerback. He played college football at South Carolina for three years. He was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the seventh round, 216th overall of the 2009 NFL Draft. Munnerlyn also played for the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills.
Eric Norwood is a former American football defensive end. He was most recently a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was a member of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL from 2013 to 2015. He formerly played for the University of South Carolina. During his collegiate career, he set school career records in tackles for loss (54.5) and quarterback sacks (29). With numerous conference and national honors, Norwood is one of the most decorated defensive players in SEC history and has drawn comparisons to James Harrison. Norwood was considered a top linebacker prospect for the 2010 NFL Draft; he was selected in the fourth round, 124 overall by the Carolina Panthers.
Darell Scott is a former American football defensive tackle. He was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He played college football at Clemson.
Clifton Geathers is a former American football defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for the Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys, Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins and Pittsburgh Steelers. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of South Carolina.
Jadeveon Davarus Clowney is an American football linebacker who last played for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of South Carolina, where he won the Ted Hendricks Award, and was selected first overall by the Houston Texans in the 2014 NFL draft. Clowney was a member of the Texans for five seasons, earning three consecutive Pro Bowl selections during his final years with the team. Following his departure from Houston, he played with the Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and Baltimore Ravens.

Shaquil Akeem Barrett is an American football linebacker for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Nebraska Omaha before transferring to Colorado State University, and was signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2014. After five seasons with the Broncos, including winning Super Bowl 50, Barrett signed with the Buccaneers. His level of play increased, making the Pro Bowl and All-Pro teams in 2019 after leading the league in sacks, and in 2021 won Super Bowl LV.
