The Toronto Tamil International Film Festival (TTIFF) is an annual film festival publicly held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Its "one of the most significant festival of Tamil films held anywhere outside of Indian subcontinent [1] The Toronto Tamil Film Festival of Toronto (TTIFF) is a nonprofit organization devoted to a greater appreciation of Tamil cinema and culture by showcasing films, supporting emerging filmmakers, and promoting the diverse perspectives of the Tamil diaspora.

Each year the festival features a rich mix of film programs designed to build and support the growing interest in the Tamil entertainment industry. This includes programming that cultivates an audience for Tamil films while supporting filmmakers of Tamil descent in career development as they navigate the larger studio system in Hollywood. TTFF’s industry programs include the One-on-One program where film industry professionals from major and independent production and distribution companies are invited to participate in meetings with the TTFF filmmakers; and panel discussions with speakers from the film industry. Radhakrishnan Parthiban is an Indian actor and filmmaker who works mainly in Tamil cinema. He has directed 15 films, produced 13 films and acted in more than 70 films. He started his career as assistant director for K. Bhagyaraj in 1984 and the duo worked in over 20 films from 1984 to 1991. Parthiban is known for having directed critically acclaimed films such as Pudhiya Paadhai (1989) and Housefull (1999) won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil. He also won National Film Award – Special Jury Award in Otha Seruppu Size 7 (2019).

Parthiban Kanavu is a 1960 Indian Tamil-language historical fiction film, directed by D. Yoganand. The film stars Vyjayanthimala, Gemini Ganesan and S. V. Ranga Rao, with Ragini, S. V. Subbaiah, Kumari Kamala, T. S. Balaiah, P. S. Veerappa and S. A. Ashokan in supporting roles. It is based on the 1942 historical novel of the same name, written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The film also had actor K. Balaji in a special appearance and actress B. Saroja Devi as an extra.

The anthology consists of four short films based on relationships, which is set against the urban backdrops.

Oththa Seruppu Size 7, simply known as Oththa Seruppu, is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language thriller film produced, written and directed by R. Parthiban under the banner Bioscope Film Framers. The film stars Parthiban himself as the only character. The background score for the film is composed by C. Sathya and the film has only one song, which is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The film entered the Asia Book of Records and India Book of Records for having a single person writing, directing, solo acting and producing a film. It was the third South Indian film to feature a single actor after The Guard and Shanti.

The series feature an ensemble cast of Aishwarya Lekshmi, Arjun Das, Dhilip Subbarayan, Gouri G. Kishan, Joju George, Lijomol Jose, Nadhiya, Nirmal Pillai, Sananth and Teejay Arunasalam.
