Jönköping County is a county or län in southern Sweden. It borders the counties of Halland, Västra Götaland, Östergötland, Kalmar and Kronoberg. The total county population was 356,291 inhabitants in September 2017. The capital and largest city is Jönköping. About one quarter of the total county population lives in the combined Jönköping-Huskvarna urban area around the southern point of Lake Vättern.
The counties of Sweden are the top-level geographic subdivisions of Sweden. Sweden is today divided into 21 counties; however, the number of counties has varied over time, due to territorial gains/losses and to divisions and/or mergers of existing counties. This level of administrative unit was first established in the 1634 Instrument of Government on Lord Chancellor Count Axel Oxenstierna's initiative, and superseded the historical provinces of Sweden in order to introduce a more efficient administration of the realm. At that time, they were what the translation of län into English literally means: fiefdoms. The county borders often follow the provincial borders, but the Crown often chose to make slight relocations to suit its purposes.
SJ is a government-owned passenger train operator in Sweden. SJ was created in 2001, out of the public transport division of Statens Järnvägar, when the former government agency was divided into six separate government-owned limited companies. In 2018 SJ carried 31.8 million passengers.

Småland and the islands is a National Area of Sweden. The National Areas are a part of the NUTS statistical regions of Sweden. The name derives from the fact that the area covers most of the historical province of Småland with the island provinces of Öland and Gotland, located in the Baltic Sea.
Pågatågen is an interurban railway system in Skåne County, Sweden, and is run by Skånetrafiken, the regional public transportation authority. The trains are operated by the contractor VR Sverige. The network has 72 stations, of which 8 are in the Malmö Urban Area: Malmö C, Triangeln, Hyllie, Svågertorp, Persborg, Rosengård, Östervärn and Burlöv and 6 in the Helsingborg Urban Area: Helsingborg C, Maria, Påarp, Ramlösa, Rydebäck and Ödåkra.
The Swedish Film Institute was founded in 1963 to support and develop the Swedish film industry. The institute is housed in the Filmhuset building located in Gärdet, Östermalm in Stockholm. The building, completed in 1970, was designed by architect Peter Celsing.
Southern Military District, originally I Military District was a Swedish military district, a command of the Swedish Armed Forces that had operational control over Southern Sweden, for most time of its existence corresponding to the area covered by the counties of Malmöhus, Kristianstad, Blekinge, Kronoberg, Jönköping and Kalmar. The headquarters of Milo S were located in Kristianstad.
The X40 is a series of electric multiple units operated by SJ of Sweden. They are in service from Stockholm to Linköping, Västerås/Örebro, Uppsala and Gävle/Sandviken, and since 2010 to Gothenburg via Västerås. The double decker trains were built by Alstom from 2004–2008, with 43 units being delivered, either in a two-car or three-car configuration. It is based on the Coradia series, very similar to the French SNCF Class Z 26500 double decker trains, and similar to the X60-series.
Kollektivtrafikförvaltningen UL is the integrated transport authority responsible for public transport buses and trains at the county level in Uppsala County, Sweden. Their name is derived from the historical province of Uppland, which included the modern county along with part of what is now Stockholm County.
The CAF Civity is a platform of regional passenger trains which is manufactured by Spanish rolling stock manufacturer Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles. Available as both diesel, electric and battery-electric multiple unit, the Civity was first launched in 2010 and received its first order two years later.
Norrtåg is a publicly owned company which is owned by Norrbotten County, Västerbotten County, Västernorrland County and Jämtland County in Sweden. The company owns passenger trains and organises passenger train operation. Norrtåg controls ticket sales and contracts an operator which handles actual train operation. The trains are operated under the brand name Norrtåg.
Eskelhem is a populated area, a socken, on the Swedish island of Gotland. The area is rural with farms. It comprises the same area as the administrative Eskelhem District, established on 1 January 2016.
Sundre is a populated area, a socken, on the Swedish island of Gotland. It comprises the same area as the administrative Sundre District, established on 1 January 2016.

The 2022 Swedish general election was held on 11 September to determine the 349 seats of Sweden's parliament, the Riksdag, for the term lasting until 2026. The opposition right-wing bloc won a majority of seats and later formed the Tidö Agreement. The agreement paved the way to the Kristersson Cabinet, a minority government of Ulf Kristersson's Moderate Party, the Christian Democrats, and Liberals that relies on confidence and supply from the Sweden Democrats (SD), the first time the party is holding direct influence on government policy.
