Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson (born January 10, 2001) is an American football cornerback for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at TCU, and received three all-conference honors during his time with TCU and won the Jim Thorpe Award in 2022.
Tomlinson attended Midway High School in Waco, Texas. [1] He committed to Texas Christian University (TCU) to play college football. [2]
As a freshman at TCU in 2019, Tomlinson played in 12 games and had eight tackles. He became a starter in 2020, and started all 10 games, recording 26 tackles. In 12 games in 2021, he had 41 tackles, two interceptions and a touchdown. Tomlinson won the Jim Thorpe Award as a senior in 2022. [3] [4]

Tomlinson was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the sixth round, 182nd overall, of the 2023 NFL draft. [7]
He is the nephew of Hall of Fame NFL running back LaDainian Tomlinson. [8] [9]
The Jim Thorpe Award, named in memory of multi-sport athlete Jim Thorpe, has been awarded to the top defensive back in college football since 1986. It is voted on by the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame. In 2017, the award became sponsored by Paycom and was named the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award.
LaDainian Tarshane Tomlinson is an American former professional football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons. After a successful college football career with the TCU Horned Frogs, the San Diego Chargers selected him as the fifth overall pick in the 2001 NFL draft. He spent nine years with the Chargers, earning five Pro Bowl appearances, three Associated Press first-team All-Pro nominations, and two NFL rushing titles. Tomlinson was also voted the NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) in 2006 after breaking the record for touchdowns in a single season. He played two further seasons with the New York Jets, before retiring. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.
Johnnie Johnson is an American former professional football player who was a cornerback and safety in the National Football League (NFL) for 10 seasons during the 1980s. Johnson played college football for the University of Texas, and was a two-time unanimous All-American. A first-round choice in the 1980 NFL draft, he played professionally for the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks. Johnson was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in May 2007. Johnson's son, Collin Johnson, plays for the Chicago Bears as a wide receiver.
Alex John "Buck" Lansford is an American former football player who was an offensive lineman in the National Football League (NFL) for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams. He was named to the Pro Bowl once. Lansford played college football for the Texas Longhorns and was selected in the second round of the 1955 NFL Draft.
