Trojans Youth and Community Group is an amateur football club based in the Creggan area of Derry, Northern Ireland. [2] As of 2015, the club's senior team was playing in the Northern Ireland Intermediate League. [3] The club, which was founded in 1938 by Edmund Carton, [4] also has a youth development set-up participating in the NIBFA National League and Derry and District Youth Football Association.

Senior

The senior Trojans team, also known as the 'Trojans Intermediate Team', participates in the Northern Ireland Intermediate League.[ citation needed ] They play from Trojans' base at Oakland Park in the Creggan Estate.

Youth

Trojans YCG has a number of youth teams who participate in the under-age leagues of the NIBFA National Youth League and Derry and District Youth Football Association. The club has previously sent youth teams to international tournaments and has contributed a number of players to the Derry and District League Select, which competes in the Foyle Cup.[ citation needed ]

Damian Cassidy, is a former Gaelic football manager and former player for the Derry county team in the 1980s and 1990s, who was part of the county's 1993 All-Ireland Championship winning side, starting at left half forward. He also won two Ulster Senior Championship medals, three National League titles, and a range of under-age inter-county medals with the county. Cassidy played his club football for Bellaghy Wolfe Tones and won five Derry Championships and the 1994 Ulster Senior Club Football Championships with the club. For both club and county he usually played as a forward. Cassidy was also a talented hurler.

Carniny Amateur & Youth FC is a junior-level football club from Ballymena, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The club was developed initially as a youth level club and was founded in 2000. A senior side was introduced in 2009, playing junior-level football in the junior divisions of the Ballymena & Provincial League before gaining Intermediate status in 2011, retaining their membership until 2014. During this time it competed in the Irish Cup. The club then dropped down to junior status in order to gain entry into the Northern Amateur Football League where they played in Division 2C. After a single season at this level they moved again, joining the Ballymena Saturday Morning League, gaining two successive promotions where they now play in Div 2.

Maiden City Football Club is an intermediate football club based in Derry, Northern Ireland, playing in the Northern Ireland Intermediate League. Formerly only a youth football academy, the club was formed in 2016 as a pathway to senior football for players coming through their already prestigious academy. Emphasis at the club is still put on the youth academy and progression of young players, many of whom have progressed into professional football.
