Tuttosport is an Italian sport newspaper published in Turin, Italy.
Tuttosport was first published on 30 July 1945. Renato Casalbore (who later died in the 1949 Superga air disaster alongside the Il Grande Torino football squad) founded the newspaper as a bi-weekly. In 1946, it moved to three editions a week, and since 12 March 1951 it has been published daily. The paper has its headquarters in Turin. [3] [4] It is published in broadsheet format. [4] Typical issues have 28 or 32 pages and are produced in four editions, targeted respectively at Turin, Rome, Milan, and Genoa.
The newspaper is edited by Xavier Jacobelli; his predecessors have included Vittorio Oreggia, Paolo De Paola, Giancarlo Padovan, Antonio Ghirelli, and Gianpaolo Ormezzano.
Tuttosport had a circulation of 123,921 copies in 2004. [5] The circulation of the paper was 115,533 copies in 2008. [6] In 2012 the paper sold 64,355,791 copies. [7]

Corriere della Sera is an Italian daily newspaper published in Milan with an average circulation of 246,278 copies in May 2023. First published on 5 March 1876, Corriere della Sera is one of Italy's oldest newspapers and is Italy's most read newspaper. Its masthead has remained unchanged since its first edition in 1876. It reached a circulation of over 1 million under editor and co-owner Luigi Albertini between 1900 and 1925. He was a strong opponent of socialism, clericalism, and Giovanni Giolitti, who was willing to compromise with those forces during his time as prime minister of Italy. Albertini's opposition to the Italian fascist regime forced the other co-owners to oust him in 1925.

Calciopoli was a sports scandal in Italy's top professional association football league Serie A and to a lesser extent Serie B. In July 2006, Juventus was stripped of the 2004–05 Serie A title, which was left unassigned, and was downgraded to last place in the 2005–06 Serie A, as the title was subsequently awarded to Inter Milan, and relegated to Serie B. In July 2006, the Italy national football team won the 2006 FIFA World Cup, beating the France national football team 5–3 in a penalty shoot-out following a 1–1 draw at the conclusion of extra time; eight Juventus players were on the football pitch in the 2006 FIFA World Cup final, five for Italy and three for France. Many prison sentences were handed out to sporting directors and referees but all were acquitted in 2015, after almost a decade of investigation, due to the expiration of the statute of limitations, except for a one-year sentence confirmed to referee Massimo De Santis.
